Abstract:Interest has been focused recently on mimicking natural silk processing from spiders and silkworms.In this paper,the features of liquid crystalline spinning of spider and silkworm were summarized.Four different mechanism of fiber formation in spider and silkworm were introduced in detail.It will be helpful to study the biomimicking the spinning process of silkworm.
