In recent years, charities have become involved in many online medical crowdfunding projects as fundraising agents. To reveal whether and why the involvement of charities influences medical crowdfunding performance, this study conducts a sequential exploratory-explanatory research design with two main studies. By collecting 22,805 projects from the Chinese Tencent GongYi platform, the first study utilizes propensity score matching (PSM) to investigate which type of initiators (individuals vs. charities) have better crowdfunding performance. The results show that the initiator type is an essential predictor of medical crowdfunding, and projects launched by charities keep better performance than those by individuals. Upon the findings of the first study, the second study is performed to inspect why charities make more contributions than individual fundraisers. The impacts of charities’ reputations and social capital on medical crowdfunding performance are examined based on the elaboration likelihood model (ELM) and social capital theory. The results suggest that charities’ reputations and multidimensional social capital play essential roles in endorsing crowdfunding fundraising (fundraising performance) and appealing to donors’ attention (participation performance). In addition, the disease type moderates the relationship between charities’ reputation or social capital and crowdfunding performance. Our research provides in-depth insight into the impact of charities’ involvement on medical crowdfunding and generates important implications for medical crowdfunding practices.  相似文献

As social network services become more pervasive, social media advertising emerges as an attractive vehicle for augmenting advertising effectiveness. To leverage this new means of marketing, one must understand what engages SNS users in a favorable online behavior (i.e., overtly indicating personal interest in, or support for, the exposed message by clicking the Like or Share button in Facebook), thereby resulting in an effective advertising campaign. This research conceptualizes SNS ad effectiveness as a concept encompassing emotional appeal, informativeness and creativity that all have a potential to contribute to a positive online behavior. It empirically investigates the antecedents of positive user behavior for a SNS ad based on the theory of reasoned action, the social influence theory, and a persuasion theory. It proposes and tests a conceptual model of the formation of online user’s behavioral responses with regards to SNS advertising. The results of our empirical tests of the model reveal that informativeness and advertising creativity were key drivers of favorable behavioral responses to an SNS ad and that intention to engage in favorable user responses was positively associated with purchase intention. Based on these findings, the paper suggests further research directions and offers implications for harnessing the full potential of the new SNS advertising platform.  相似文献

Virtual paid gifts from viewers are the main revenue source for the live streaming gaming industry, with massively multiplayer online games (MMOG) currently representing the most profitable game type. However, there is little understanding regarding what drives gifting behavior in the MMOG live streaming social environment. This study develops a research model for analyzing the antecedents of virtual gifts in the MMOG live streaming context, with monetary value used for quantification. This model builds on the theory of social influence and social impact literature, and it has been validated through an empirical study including 988,829 observations of real-time viewer data that were collected from the Douyu live streaming platform. Our study examines micro-, meso-, and macro-level social influences (i.e., self-presentation, parasocial relationship, and MMOG live streaming loyalty) on viewer gifting behavior and how the presence of others (i.e., social crowdedness of viewers on the live streaming channel) represents a contextual cue that moderates the effects of social influence on gifting behavior. The results reveal that self-presentation, parasocial relationships, and MMOG live streaming loyalty positively affect the monetary value of viewers’ paid gifts. Although the presence of others can strengthen the impact of parasocial relationships and MMOG live streaming loyalty on viewer gifting behavior, it negatively moderates the relationship between self-presentation and gifting behavior. This study theorizes the features of MMOG live streaming and extends the applicability of social influence theory and social impact theory to this context. Finally, we provide insights into how game practitioners facilitate viewer gifting behavior.  相似文献

本文将同侪影响引入在线创新社区的用户行为研究中,从广度和深度两方面考察同侪影响对用户贡献行为的影响,并分析感知收益的中介作用。研究以小米社区MIUI功能与讨论区的创意集市板块为对象构建S-O-R模型,采用6567名用户发布的8830条创意、5.26万条评论和收到的103.36万条评论数据,利用Mplus8.1分析检验,结果发现:同侪影响广度与深度均有利于促进用户贡献行为,综合收益在同侪影响广度、深度与用户贡献行为间起正向中介效应,情感收益仅在同侪影响广度、深度与主动贡献行为间起正向中介效应,而认知收益则在同侪影响深度与反应贡献行为间起负向中介效应。研究拓展了在线网络情境下知识管理与社会学领域的交叉研究,并为在线创新社区社交网络和知识管理提供重要启示。  相似文献

[目的/意义]旨在探究社交网络环境下用户健康信息分享意愿的形成机理,为社交健康网络的开发者、设计者和运营者的实践活动提供可供参考的管理启示。[方法/过程]基于"深度访谈+扎根理论"获取二阶信息链(含二阶信息链、二阶信任链)分析框架下社交健康信息生态链中信息内容与信息信任的作用机理,并通过整合感知价值理论、信任理论、技术接受模型中提取出的关键因素,从信息主体、信息环境、信息内容及信息技术4个层面展开系统分析,提出研究假设并构建理论研究模型。选取微信的深度用户为实证样本,通过"情境实验+问卷调查"的方式获取400份有效数据样本,并采用结构方程模型的研究方法验证理论模型。[结果/结论]信息主体因素(分享价值、自我效能及面子意识)、信息环境因素(分享态度、信源引力认知信任与情感信任、信宿推力认知信任与情感信任)、信息内容因素(信息正向情绪性、信息负向情绪性)均能显著正向影响社交网络用户的社交健康信息分享意愿,而信息技术因素(感知有用性、感知易用性)对分享意愿无显著影响。  相似文献

【目的/意义】社会化问答社区目前已成为网络环境下用户搜寻和获取知识的重要途径。探析用户知识采 纳行为有助于提升社会化问答社区知识组织与服务能力,对社区的运营管理方面也具有重要的实践意义。【方法/ 过程】本文选取知乎作为研究对象,应用扎根理论方法,通过数据资料收集、三级编码等过程,结合认知心理学的相 关理论,构建了社会化问答社区用户知识采纳行为模型。【结果/结论】研究发现:自我认知、平台认知、社会认知三 个维度对用户知识采纳行为具有显著影响,并通过认知有用性、认知易用性两个中介变量和技术、情感因素两个调 节变量分别刺激用户知识采纳的意愿,从而影响知识采纳行为。【创新/局限】从认知视域基于扎根理论的方法探索 社会化问答社区知识采纳行为的影响因素模型,但采集的知乎的样本容量较小,概念模型的信度和效度并未经过 大样本检验。  相似文献

Science, technology and innovation (STI) policy is borne by a set of historically contingent concepts, models, and metaphors. From around 1950 to 1980, its language was dominated by the contract metaphor and the linear model of innovation, both of which have catered for beliefs in stability, orderliness, and distinct social roles for scientists and policymakers. While prominent new models of the 1990s (mode 2, post-normal science, triple helix) had challenged the old contract metaphor, they remained experts’ brainchildren. After 2000, in contrast, we observe the emergence and pluralization of several new and powerful concepts. Building on conceptual history and cognitive linguistics, we analyze three of these new concepts: “frontier research,” “grand challenges,” and “responsible research and innovation” (RRI). Whereas the “frontier” and “grand challenges” convey many layered historical meanings, a distinct metaphorical appeal, and have become popularized beyond expert’s communities, the RRI discourse, though the most ambitious one, has not yet shaken off its roots in the bureaucratic structures of the European Commission. Finally, we discuss which conceptual and metaphorical properties enable the career of STI policy discourses in the 21st century.  相似文献

Since its launch in 2016, Pokémon Go has attracted huge numbers of players, causing a boom in this game market. Although it is not as popular as before, from time to time we still find crowds of players gathered in some spots where Pokémon appear. Numerous reports have explored this Pokémon phenomenon; however, the exact reasons for its popularity remain unknown. The purpose of this study is to explore the post-adoption behavior of Pokémon Go players and its influential factors in the gaming and tourism industries. The theoretical model of stimulus-organism-response was drawn on to examine the impact of the environmental stimuli (social influence and media influence) on players’ internal organisms, which in turn affect their post-experience responses. Moreover, gender differences were also examined in the hypothetical relationships. A total of 342 valid questionnaires from actual gamers were collected in this study, and data analysis was performed using a structural equation model. The results show that stimulus effects, such as social stimuli (critical mass and social interaction) and media stimuli (content timeliness and media richness), have significant impacts on the players’ internal gamified experience (attachment and conformity), which in turn affect their visit intention to catch creatures at certain attractions and to continue playing Pokémon Go. Further, we have also found that players’ intention to visit Pokémon spots is significantly correlated with their intention to continue playing the game. Findings provide links between gamification and tourism literature. Further theoretical and managerial implications are provided.  相似文献

[目的/意义]认知神经科学领域的最新进展揭示了认知、情绪和社会过程的神经基础,为人类、组织和市场之间的信息处理、决策以及行为之间的复杂相互作用提供了新的见解。[方法/过程]本文介绍了利用认知神经科学工具开展IS研究(以下称为"NeuroIS")的文献。作者的文献来源主要基于Riedl等的综述,从以下2个角度进行文献分析:1)研究工具视角,该部分对与NeuroIS有关的方法、工具和测量进行了讨论;2)研究内容视角,该部分从脑神经区块可辨识的功能,即决策过程、认知过程、情绪过程和社会化过程进行分析。[结果/结论]文章最后对在IS研究中运用神经生理学的方法面临的一系列挑战进行梳理,并提出展望:NeuroIS研究的长期和主要目标是创建超越行为数据的强大预测模型;其次是开发新的搜索模型,用于解释信息刺激的生理和神经反应以及认知和情感状态对用户信息行为的影响。  相似文献

This study aims to reveal the mechanism of how consumers’ engagement is established in social commerce communities. Building upon social support theory, we propose models and employ datasets obtained from Douban.com to empirically investigate the different effects of emotional and informational support on consumers’ engagement and how involvement mediates these relationships in the social commerce context. At the same time, the moderating role of product presentation is examined to help clarify the impact of social support and consumer involvement. Our analyses reveal that the two subdimensions of social supportive information are positively related to consumer involvement, together promoting consumers’ engagement in the community. In particular, involvement imposes a full mediating influence on emotional support but a partial mediating impact on informational support. Product presentation strengthens the effects in that the predictive effect of determinants on engagement is more pronounced for books with electronic versions in the social commerce community. For researchers and managers, these findings emphasize the benefits of the social commerce community, particularly with regard to Douban.com in China.  相似文献

随着社会化商务的兴起,一种新的商业模式即社会化购物社区诞生了。对于社会化购物社区,消费者的购买转化率至关重要,然而到目前,还尚未有文献探讨社会化购物社区的技术特征对消费者购买意向的作用机制。本研究基于刺激-机体-反应框架,从认知信任和情感信任的集成视角,构建了社会化购物社区技术特征与消费者购买意向的关系模型。以社会化购物社区美丽说中的成员作为调查对象进行实证分析,结构方程模型分析结果表明,社交性技术特征显著正向影响消费者对社区诚实的认知信任和对社区的情感信任;自我参照性技术特征显著正向影响消费者的认知信任和情感信任;消费者对社区的认知信任和情感信任又最终对消费者通过社区购买产品的意向产生正向影响;情感信任对购买意向的作用要强于认知信任。研究结果为社会化购物社区提供商通过设计与监控社区的技术特征来提高社区的购买转化率提供了有价值的理论依据和建议。  相似文献

Mobile social platform such as WeChat Moments has gained great popularity in China in the past few years. However, there are still a lack of studies that focus on Guanxi network building in the virtual social community. Drawing upon social capital theory and technology affordance theory, this study develops a research model to examine the influences of platform media richness and interactivity on users’ social capital and participation behaviors in the WeChat Moments. An empirical survey was conducted in China and 287 valid data were collected from WeChat users. Structural equation modelling analysis was used to test the research model. The empirical results suggest that platform interactivity and media richness are significant technology affordances that promote users’ Guanxi network, and their influences are mediated by social interaction and shared understanding. Furthermore, Guanxi network is positively associated with users’ active participation in the WeChat Moments. Theoretical and practical implications are illustrated in the final section.  相似文献

[目的]本文通过研究微博用户信息行为,为相关部门在信息传播管控方面提供参考价值。[方法]本文从用户使用微博时产生的情绪刺激角度对用户微博信息分享意愿和动机进行调查研究和分析,并基于过程评估理论和情境评估模型构建微博用户信息分享情绪模型。[结果]研究表明,用户的情绪刺激显著正向影响用户对新颖性、规范、目标、内在舒适性和应对潜力的评估;用户对新颖性、目标和内在舒适性的评估显著正向影响用户的分享意愿;用户的分享意愿对情绪刺激有显著复发效应。[局限]本文构建的研究模型主要验证刺激、评估、结果3个组件的相互影响,未具体研究评估组件内部5个组件间的相互作用;且本研究的样本主要源自于高学历青年群体。[结论]本研究证明了情绪刺激对微博用户信息分享意愿所产生的影响。情绪既是微博用户在信息分享过程中所产生的心理及情绪波动,又是促使用户产生信息分享行为的因素。  相似文献

As individuals age, mental and physical impairment can emerge and impact their well-being. Previous research on social participation in older adults has typically focused on specific activities or failed to distinguish between different forms of participation. In contrast, we propose that social participation is a resource optimization process for older adults, where various forms of participation must be optimized in order to improve well-being outcomes. Drawing on Selective Optimization with Compensation theory, we develop hypotheses on how older adults with cognitive decline select and optimize their social participation profile and how multiple modes of participation synergistically affect their perceived loneliness. Using data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA), we test a polynomial model and find that online social participation has a U-shaped effect on loneliness, while personal-oriented offline social participation mitigates this effect. We also find that the impact of social participation modes varies considerably between younger and older groups. Our findings suggest implications for the design of integrative aging support programs and the use of ICT to promote mental well-being in different stages of advanced age.  相似文献

工作不安全感作为组织变革过程中产生的重要压力源,不仅引发了员工对工作持续性和稳定性的担忧,同时导致了诸多心理健康问题。本研究构建了以社会支持为调节变量的工作不安全感对情绪耗竭的影响模型,分别从认知评价和情感体验角度探讨不同类型的社会支持对情绪耗竭的缓解作用。以10家企业的197位员工的数据为样本,运用层次回归等统计方法检验假设模型。结果表明:认知性和情感性工作不安全感对情绪耗竭均有正向影响作用。工具支持有利于降低认知性工作不安全感对情绪耗竭的影响,情感支持则会缓解情感性工作不安全感对情绪耗竭的影响。因此,企业可以采用针对性的社会支持组合策略,从认知和情感两方面帮助员工进行压力管理,缓解工作不安全感对情绪耗竭的影响。  相似文献

The proliferation of social commerce has changed customers’ purchase decision-making process. However, few studies have investigated the roles of social commerce factors on customers’ purchase decision-making. Based on the social learning theory, we develop a research model to examine how customers’ learning behavior along three main social commerce components (SCCs) affects customers’ attitude in both cognitive and affective dimensions and how such attitude determines customers’ purchase intention. The results from a survey of 243 actual users of social commerce websites suggest that cognitive and affective appraisals are the main predictors of purchase intention, with cognitive appraisal having a higher predictive power than affective appraisal. In addition, learning from forums and communities and learning from ratings and reviews have significant influences on both cognitive and affective appraisals, while learning from forums and communities plays a more important role in formulating affective appraisal and learning from ratings and reviews plays a more important role in determining cognitive appraisal. Contrary to our expectation, learning from social recommendations has no significant influence on either cognitive or affective appraisal. In summary, these findings provide a comprehensive understanding about customers’ purchase decision-making process and extend the application scope of social learning theory. The findings also provide social commerce managers guidance in designing more effective websites and allocating resources and efforts reasonably on different SCCs.  相似文献

Drawing on the cognitive appraisal theory of emotions and the attribution theory, this study extends existing research by examining how the emotional expressions influence perceived helpfulness of online consumer reviews (OCRs). We include two negative emotions (anger, fear) and two positive emotions (pride, surprise). Each of these four emotions can be described with respect to six emotional appraisal dimensions which containing certainty, pleasantness, attentional activity, anticipated effort, control and others’ responsibility. Hypotheses thus developed were empirically validated using the laboratory experiment in the context of restaurant services. Research results indicated that emotion expressions in OCRs have an indirect effect on perceived helpfulness through attribution about the reviewer's cognitive effort. We find that reviews with negative emotions are perceived to be more reviewer's cognitive efforts than positive emotions. More specifically, OCRs with negative emotions tend to comprise more diagnostic features related the product or service, and are more informative. We further examined whether the gender of reader moderates the relationship between different emotional expressions and perceived reviewer's cognitive effort. The results find that reviews conveying positive emotions tended to have a greater impact on male readers’ perception of reviewer's cognitive effort than those of female readers. Reviews conveying negative emotions were found to have a greater impact on female readers’ perception of reviewer's cognitive effort than that of male readers. The study results add to existing knowledge of the influence of emotional expression on perceived helpfulness, which will advance our understanding of information processing in the psychological mechanisms influencing the attitude. Applying the results from this study, restaurant service providers can make different coping strategy for discrete emotions and platform administrators can assistant reviewer express their emotions more precisely.  相似文献

Social network sites (SNS) and micro-blogging sites are popular yet distinctive social media. Previous studies have focused on one type of social media and thus overlook how the distinctive features of SNS and micro-blogging sites may affect underlying motivational mechanisms. To address this research gap, we draw from the self-regulation framework and propose a research model to explain how different appraisal factors (i.e., self-image and peer influence) affect continuance use through emotional responses (i.e., a sense of belonging and satisfaction). Furthermore, we argue that the effects of these appraisal and emotional factors are different across types of social media. We tested our research model by survey data collected from SNS and micro-blogging sites. The results confirm our hypotheses: First, self-image is a more significant factor in increasing SNS users’ sense of belonging and satisfaction, while peer influence has a greater effect on micro-blogging sites users’ sense of belonging and satisfaction. Second, the sense of belonging explains the greater variance of continuance intention in SNS as compared with satisfaction. A few theoretical and practical implications are discussed related to our findings on different motivational mechanisms.  相似文献

Electronic word-of-mouth communication (eWOM) is an important force in building a digital marketplace. The study of eWOM has implications for how to build an online community through social media design, web communication and knowledge exchange. Innovative use of eWOM has significant benefits, especially for start-up firms. We focus on how users on the web communicate value related to online products. It is the premise of this paper that generating emotional value (E-value) in social media and networking sites (SMNS) is critical for the survival of new e-service ventures. Hence, by introducing a formal value theory as a coding scheme, we report a study on E-value in SMNS by analyzing how a Swedish start-up industrial design company attempted to build a global presence by creating followers on the web. The aim of the study was to investigate how the company's website design and communication can affect eWOM over time. This was done by capturing a series of “emoticon and value expressions” generated by community members from three different e-communication campaigns (2011–2012) with changing website content, hence giving different stimuli to viewers. Those members who expressed emotional value, often incorporating emoticons, displayed both shorter verbal expressions and reaction time. These value expressions, we suggest, are important aspects of eWOM and need to be actively taken into account. The study has implications for information management strategies through using eWOM.  相似文献
