硕士学位点的发展情况直接决定了我国硕士研究生教育的规模和结构,是我国以硕士学位授权体系为核心的硕士研究生教育发展规模的最直接反映.本文以我国31个省级行政单位硕士学位点随时间变化的发展情况为研究对象,采用多层线性模型(HLM)分析技术,构建了区域硕士学位授权体系发展模型,并基于追踪数据进行了实证分析.所得结论如下:第一,我国各省硕士学位点的发展情况表现出显著的差异性.第二,我国各省硕士学位点的发展随时间变化呈现非线性增长趋势(曲线),且该趋势的具体特征表现为减速增长.第三,经济发展水平对各省硕士学位授权体系发展的差异程度存在显著的影响,且对其硕士学位点的增长率也存在显著影响.最后,还存在其他因素对我国以硕士学位点为基础的区域硕士学位授权体系发展差异产生影响.  相似文献

一年制硕士学位发端于英国,之后向原英属殖民地国家和地区扩展.一年制硕士学位入学资格要求宽松,培养目标侧重应用,考察方式以课程考试为主.其优势表现为入学申请相对容易,培养周期短,毕业生竞争力强;劣势表现为繁重的学业易造成学生的精神高度集中和学习压力巨大.一年制硕士学位受到我国出国留学人员的普遍欢迎,但实践表明,学生选择一年制硕士学位的目的 已背离其设置的初衷,且一年制硕士学位与我国硕士学位制度不对等,已对我国学位制度造成冲击,故建议教育相关部门对一年制硕士学位的认证进行适当限制.  相似文献

In this article it is argued that further development of the research knowledge base regarding the effectiveness of parent education programs depends on a major shift in conventional strategies of program evaluation. The prevalent evaluation method has been dominated by an interest in the outcomes of parent education programs; thus, a variety of evaluations has established that parent training programs have an immediate impact on such outcomes as child's IQ scores (see Clarke-Stewart, 1978). Little is known about why parent programs are effective, however. The typical evaluation approach is severely limited in its ability to identify factors which contribute to program effectiveness. Yet information about the processes of change in parent education programs is essential to the replication and improvement of program models.This article suggests that program evaluations should examine relations between parent characteristics and program attributes. An investigation of the goodness of fit between different program dimensions and a parent's needs and background is likely to extend our knowledge about the circumstances which lead to certain types of program outcomes. The article discusses the inadequate attention given to the complexity of the treatment variable in evaluation studies, and suggests that future evaluations consider variations in parents' experiences in a program, environmental characteristics, and child-rearing attitudes and practices.  相似文献

The development of a family-centered, comprehensive perinatal education program for a large, urban hospital system is described. This program was developed in conjunction with the building of a new women's center and, although the authors were fortunate that several opportunities for educational program development were linked to this project, many of the steps taken and the lessons learned can be helpful to anyone desiring to develop a similar program. This article relates perinatal education to the principles of family-centered maternity care, outlines the criteria for a quality educational program, gives rationale for this type of program development, and offers practical suggestions for starting or enhancing a perinatal education program within a hospital system.  相似文献

The mass media contribution to education politics is explored through the application of a pluralistic theoretical framework to evidence connected with the making of an episode of a U.K. current affairs television program. The episode addressed a politically contentious educational issue but proved controversial in itself. Several sources complained that the program team had failed to operate with “due accuracy and impartiality” required in law and subsequently confronted them in a televised audience feedback program. The pluralistic theoretical framework is used to highlight contrasting interactions between the television program team and different sources in creating the episode that was transmitted. Frequent sources tended to be “media-wise” and so better able to realize their interest in positive portrayal than those occasional sources who were more “media-naive.” It is suggested that this case has wider implications for understanding the superficiality of much media output dealing with the politics of education.  相似文献

We investigated Yemen's higher education challenges by focusing on the English teacher education program. Interpretative analysis of policy statements and interviews revealed several factors that are hindering the quality of the program. Deeply aware of the socio-political dimensions impeding progress, the university lecturers shared convoluted visions for improving higher education and, in reflecting on the mission and realities of their program, voiced their quest for social justice and recognition by university administrators. The administrators acknowledged key problems in teacher education, but proposed no specific corrective measures. The findings highlight the urgent need for systemic change in Yemeni higher education.  相似文献

The purpose of this spatial study is to understand the function space play in a combined credential program in the US in helping or hindering the program’s inclusive mission. The study examines how physical and social manifestations of general and special education are (re)organized in the new program. The data provides evidence for the pervasive separation between general and special education within the new program. This study points to the importance of examining space in relation to teacher education reform as a way to highlight where policy, institutional, programmatic, physical, and pedagogic changes are needed to support inclusive teacher preparation.  相似文献

The primary characteristics of the three programs are used to compare participants to each other and to a group of students in the regular curriculum: (1) development of logical thought, (2) broader educational development, and, (3) career development, as well as selected academic characteristics (grades academic aptitude). The programs and their evaluations are described. The outcomes claimed for each program occurred more frequently in that program than in the comparison groups. The absence of differences in grades, despite differences in academic ability and in extent of program involvement, is interpreted as further evidence of the insensitivity of grades. This article, inspired in part by the Levine report that criticizes teacher education programs in the United States for being out of touch with practices that work in real classrooms, is a self-study that explores the rift between educational theory, particularly theory that pushes for social constructionist, child-centered approaches to teaching, and teaching practices in majority African-American, inner-city schools. The authors conducted this year-long self-study to answer the question: What could the college's education program do to improve preparation for teaching in inner-city schools? Through their year-long collaboration in a middle-school writing classroom in an inner-city charter school, the authors examined what a prospective teacher learned in his education program that helped and hindered him and then explored how the successful approaches he developed as a new teacher could be incorporated into the college's preservice program.  相似文献

The need for further improved professional training in the care of the dying is now being recognized by doctors themselves, and increasingly they are turning to hospices for such education. The ways in which such training might be provided are outlined and some of the problems discussed in the light of British experience. It is suggested that no major hospice program should ever be initiated unless it incorporates an education program aimed to meet the deficiencies revealed in recent studies.  相似文献
