查尔斯·交夫斯是美国最早的现代作曲家之一,现在被认为是美国二十世纪最伟大的一流作曲家之一。在作曲技术发展方面,比如不协和和弦、多调性、无调性、复节奏、微分音及演奏技术的革新等方面,艾夫斯甚至走在斯特拉文斯基与勋伯格等作曲家的前面。他的作品使用了大量的现代技法,同时也引用了很多美国世俗歌曲、宗教音乐及世界著名作品中的片段,充分反映了美国文化的多元性特点．他的作品不仅具有很深刻的内涵,其中包括哲学、宗教等方面,而且还具有丰富的变化和戏剧性张力．艾夫斯在创作中使用非常多样化的风格。本文首先在概要介绍他生平及相关的历史文化背景的基础上,通过分析艾夫斯一生创作的三个时期及其创作的总体特征,对其创作手法及风格的形成与演变进行梳理。 相似文献
