深斜孔是工程勘察中为了特殊地质目的布置的一种钻孔,其施工难度与工艺明显不同于常用的铅直钻孔。以某水电站工程为例,为查明坝址河床发育的区域性顺河断裂空间分布、规模、物质组成、初步工程性状等特征,在两岸岸边布置了成对穿江深斜孔,钻探施工取得了成功。文中重点介绍该工程深斜孔的钻探技术难点、钻探工艺、班组配置及管理,可为其它类似工程参考。  相似文献

红粘土作为特殊土中的一种,其特殊性质是由成分和结构控制,且成分和结构取决于红粘土的成因。为了探讨红粘土的成因从而深入了解其特殊性,该文结合试验对贵州岩溶地区8个红粘土剖面48个样品的常量元素和微量元素作出分析和对比,对红粘土剖面粘土矿物特征作出分析。验证了红粘土主要是在溶蚀-交代作用和红土化作用两个阶段形成,并且与母岩成分、CO2含量、气候条件、地形地貌等有关。  相似文献

A survey of engineering educators in the US was conducted to ascertain actual practice regarding the delivery of engineering projects in the curriculum. The survey focused only on project experiences carrying significant academic credit that are free-standing elements of the curriculum; that is, they are not associated with or part of a course. Inquiries covered: the degree to which such activities meet requirements for graduation, accreditation and/or professional licensure; the extent of involvement of off-campus professionals in the conduct of the project, and in its support and its evaluation and assessment; the size and make-up of student teams in such activities, and the preparation and evaluation techniques used for team efforts; and the degree to which faculty members act as advisors or teachers. This paper briefly describes what is meant generally by the project mode of instruction in engineering education in the US, and describes the breadth of pedagogy in the current delivery of engineering projects represented by the survey responses, and by the engineering education literature discussing project education. The paper is intended to provide a basis for the international exchange of ideas on how engineering project education is being presented in various nations. Current trends in US engineering education that affect project education are also highlighted for comparison with those in other countries.  相似文献

基于学生满意度理论和工科本科教学特点,项目组采用自编《工科本科教学质量学生满意度量表》,选取三所不同类型高校4280名本科生进行问卷调查。结果表明:三校学生对本科教学质量整体较为满意;在对人才培养模式、专业及课程、实践教学、教师、教学基础设施、教学管理等满意度方面均存在显著性差异。此外,不同性别、年级学生对教学质量的满意度也存在着显著性差异。针对调查结果,项目组认为:强化实践教学在工程教育中的基础性地位、加大对人才培养模式的改革力度,应成为提高工科本科教学质量的主要举措。  相似文献

Introduction to Engineering is the first engineering course American University in Cairo students take upon admission to the engineering program. It is required of students in all disciplines of engineering. It is a one-credit-hour course that covers topics including history of engineering, engineering fields of specializations, the engineering profession, engineering communications, engineering ethics, and societal obligations. Community-based learning (CBL) was introduced into the course via the required course project. The project was to design toys for children at a school in a disadvantaged squatter community in Old Cairo, Egypt, where infrastructure is poor and education and social mobility can be very limited. The project was carried out in partnership with a non-governmental organization based in Old Cairo. This paper shows how the introductory engineering course was redesigned to integrate CBL while meeting the stated ABET course outcomes. Included are detailed instructions on the tools and structure of the project to provide an example for others wishing to adapt some of these tools to other courses. The paper presents the outcome assessments and survey results to evaluate the project’s success at meeting the stated outcomes and includes a discussion on the benefits to the students and the community partner.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This study explores students’ perceptions of the effectiveness of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) design project, taken as part of a first-year engineering module, in developing professional skills needed for engineering practice. Students completed surveys before and after the PBL group project, and produced personal reflections on the process. The closed survey questions were analysed quantitatively and the main themes from the reflections outlined using General Inductive Analysis. Students rated themselves as having improved across a range of professional skills as a result of the project, with particular emphasis on teamwork, communication skills, understanding of the design process and self-directed learning. In addition, they highlighted improved confidence, as well as new friendships they developed, an important element of a module like this as they transition from secondary to higher education. They were particularly positive about the scaffolded approach taken within the PBL project in terms of its contribution to their learning.  相似文献
