通过对影响煤炭自燃因素的分析,建立了采空区内遗煤自燃过程数学模型,可随时预测不同漏风强度和不同推进速度条件下,采空区遗煤自然发火的危险性,对丁集煤矿1262(1)首采面采空区遗煤自燃过程中,氧化时间、工作面推进速度对煤温的影响进行了计算机模拟,成功预报了在回采过程中采空区遗煤不自燃,确保了该工作面安全回采。  相似文献

屯兰矿12501工作面位于屯兰矿南五盘区,工作面采用倾斜长壁后退式一次采全高全部垮落综合机械化采煤方法。工作面走向长度为1751 m,倾斜长度为199 m,煤层平均厚度3.69 m,煤层倾角为1°-7°。煤层硬度低,稳定程度为较稳定。工作面平均采高4.25米,跟2#煤顶板和3#煤底板向前推进,两端头与巷道平缓过渡。回采工序为双滚筒采煤机割煤、装煤→可弯曲刮板输送机运煤→移架→推移刮板输送机。工作面采用快速沿空留巷"Y"型通风方式,即:胶带顺槽、轨道顺槽进风,沿空留巷、南翼边界巷回风。工作面采用"风排和抽采"综合瓦斯治理措施,以及"四位一体"方法防治煤与瓦斯突出。  相似文献

This chapter discusses issues that are common across the literatures and makes connections across the different levels of inquiry to develop a conceptual model of peer influences on learning. Based on the premise that compositional effects operate through a nested series of hierarchical layers, the chapter proposes a multi-layered model with effects propagating from school-level influences to class-level influences to group-level influences to ambient and configured environments for learning among peers. It is proposed that many of the effects are indirect. Hence, peer effects ‘look’ smaller the further we move away from the instructional coalface because they are mediated by intervening layers. It is also noted that there may be reciprocal effects whereby peers influence teachers and school organization and management. Finally, the chapter describes four instructional approaches that utilize peer resources to maximize learning. These approaches demonstrate additional ways of capitalizing on peer effects beyond altering student composition.  相似文献

This study uses longitudinal mixed methods data to examine patterns of dropout among a cohort of 1305 Honduran rural youth from the time they were in 6th grade to the age of 20. Based on our analysis of household and student surveys and in-depth interviews, we find that dropout is a major problem, particularly during transition years and during the first year of upper secondary education. Dropout results from the accumulation of push and pull factors that lead students to question whether it is worthwhile to stay enrolled, as they lack opportunities to convert their schooling into valued outcomes.  相似文献

The phenomenon of women's underrepresentation in engineering is well known. However, the slow progress in achieving better gender equality here compared with other domains has accentuated the ‘numbers’ issue, while the quality aspects have been largely ignored. This study aims to shed light on both these aspects via the lens of mentors, who are at the coalface of guiding female engineers through their education and subsequent careers. Based on data collected from 25 mentors (8 men and 17 women from 8 countries), the paper explores their experiences of being mentors, as well as their views on recommended actions for nurturing female engineers. The findings reveal that the primary motivation for becoming a mentor was personal for men and women. Many mentors from countries with relatively lower female labour participation rates perceive their roles as guarantors of their mentees’ successful future career paths, and a similar trend can be found in mentors in academia. The study underscores the need for invigorating mentors’ roles in order to secure a more equitable future for engineering education.  相似文献

Largely unknown to most of the world, Kyrgyzstan has a flourishing higher education (HE) sector, with more universities per head than other countries with similar populations. Kyrgyzstan is also a major regional importer of international students in Central Asia. This paper opens up this understudied country in three ways: first, through a brief analysis of the HE sector in Kyrgyzstan; second, by offering a personal view of life on the HE coalface through the findings of primary interviews with university managers in Kyrgyzstan, and third, by identifying five key contemporary challenges of working in Kyrgyz universities. The paper therefore contributes to the limited academic and practical study of HE in Central Asia by offering a new perspective on contemporary global challenges in HE administration and management. The key findings are relevant to organisations seeking to understand the context of working in the HE sector in Kyrgyzstan, and also to individuals and organisations wishing to deepen their comparative understanding of HE sectors around the world.  相似文献
