In most countries of the world, higher education is highly subsidized by the public sector. The subsidy is a result of the role of higher education sector on the economy and good governance of the nations. Enrolment into higher institutions of learning is quite low in Africa compare to other continents of the world due to the continent＇s low and declining spending on her higher institutions of learning. This shabby contribution by the continent could be likened to a result of some imminent challenges, which ranged from inadequate financial resource due to economic and social crisis to the challenges posed by the HIV/AIDS （Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome） pandemic. The contributions of Nigeria to the development of higher education in Africa is quite worthy of note. This can be affirmed by the increase in the number of states and federal universities in the country over the years since independence. This can be further reaffirmed by the promulgation of Decree 9 of 1993, which made the provision for the establishment of private universities, which further increased the nation＇s total number of universities to 93 from 59 and further strengthened the nations contributions to higher education development in the continent. In spite of all efforts made by the FGN （Federal Government of Nigeria）, the nation is yet to reach her potential in the development of her higher education sector as the percentage of potential students that gained admission into the nation＇s higher institutions of learning still stand below 15% of the total number of applicants. The study therefore recommended that budgetary allocations to higher institutions of learning be increased to meet the financial demands of the institutions. In addition, multi-campus should be encouraged in order to allow for more access to higher education. 相似文献

Chinese is a language which emphasizes on artistic conception and parataxis. It embodies spirit in forms and gives read- ers enough space to think and abundant fuzzy beauty. Fuzziness is the mainstream. However, English is an logical language with strict grammar rules which embodies form in spirit. Fuzziness is tributary in English. As a result, it is inevitable to lose the fuzzy beauty during the course of translating from Chinese to English due to these two different languages with diverse value function and appreciation of the beauty. A lot of scholars feel pity and helpless. Starting from the perspective of translation beauty, this thesis an- alyzes the phenomenon of the loss of fuzzy beauty. It introduces the definition of the fuzzy beauty and makes a brief introduction of the wide existence of fuzzy beauty, analyzes the courses and reasons of the loss of fuzzy beauty in the course of translating Chinese to English . This paper presents the evaluation of the teaching guide application for the subject of management control in the Business Management and Administration Degree. The evaluation began with the analysis of a questionnaire which aimed to collect the perceptions of learners who have studied this subject in two groups （morning and afternoon） during the first semester of the current academic year. The intention of this analysis was to obtain information that would meet two objectives： to continue upgrading the teaching-learning process and to revise and improve all the components in the teaching guide. There is an analysis of the degree of difficulty involved in the activities proposed and the degree to which specific objectives for different competencies have been attained. Likewise, we have carried out a global assessment of the different methodologies applied in the teaching-learning process, and an assessment of the evaluation system as well as of other aspects that could have hindered reaching the objectives stated in the guide. Furthermore, the relevance of this questionnaire has been vindicated for obtaining the information necessary to adjust the learner＇s workload to the European credit. 相似文献

A two-stage method is developed to solve a new class of multi-storage tank multi-source （MTMS） systems. In the first stage, the optimal storage policy of each tank is determined according to the electricity tariff, and the ground-level storage tank is modeled as a node. In the second stage, the genetic algorithm, combined with a repairing scheme, is applied to solve the pump scheduling problem. The objective of the pump scheduling problem is to ensure that the required volume is adequately provided by the pumps while minimizing the operation cost （energy cost and treatment cost）. The decision variables are the settings of the pumps and speed ratio of variable-speed pumps at time steps of the total operational time horizon. A mixed coding methodology is developed according to the characteristics of the decision variables. Daily operation cost savings of approximately 11% are obtained by application of the proposed method to a pressure zone of S. Y. water distribution system （WDS）, China. 相似文献
