近年来教师教育研究取得不小的成果,培育了大量的教师教育研究学者。文章借助中国社会科学引文索引,主要采用文献计量法对中国教师教育研究领域的学者的发文数量、被引频次和h指数等多项计量指标进行统计分析,评选出教师教育研究领域的29位关键学者,并对29位关键学者工作单位、性别、年龄、发文年份进行统计分析,从"学科创造者"的角度,了解教师教育研究的现状和存在的问题,以期为中国教师教育学科建立和发展提供研究基础。 相似文献

This paper describes and interprets the meanings that one novice mentor attributes to ‘reading a mentoring situation’, an organizing metaphor for describing how one experienced teacher of English learns to analyze one aspect of her learning in talking to mentor teachers of English throughout her first year of induction into mentoring. The study revealed that learning to become a mentor is a conscious process of induction into a different teaching context and does not ‘emerge’ naturally from being a good teacher of children. Thus, at an operational level, teacher education programs should prepare teachers for this passage by encouraging the dissemination of in-service courses that allow novice mentors the opportunity to articulate the construction of their new role. Such courses can be structured as ‘learning conversations’ whereby mentors are encouraged to reflect on their roles in the company of fellow mentors, mediated by an experienced mentor of mentors. 相似文献

This paper describes and interprets the process by which two novice mentors of English teachers, who are experienced high school teachers of English, learnt to construe their new role by articulating differences and similarities between their practice as teachers of children and as mentors of teachers. The evolving competencies that the focal mentors attributed to their learning are interpreted through the metaphor of 'learning to mentor as learning a second language of teaching'; an organising framework that emerged from the findings of a qualitative case study that investigated the learning process experienced by two veteran teachers of English in their passage from teaching English to school children to becoming mentors of teachers of English (Orland, 1997). The study suggests that although the passage from being a teacher of children to becoming a teacher of teachers is shaped by strong emotional and motivational dispositions, it is also a highly conscious and gradual process of developing communicative competencies, whereby the mentor learns to redefine his/her context of teaching in order to make sense of his/her new context of mentoring. At an operational level the study indicates that there is a definite need to prepare teachers for this passage by providing opportunities to voice and articulate these connections in teacher education programmes. 相似文献

Let's Get Our Houses in Order: The Role of Transitional Rituals in Constructing Moral Kindergartners
This article stems from a participant-observation study I conducted in a full-day kindergarten classroom in a central North Carolina public school during the autumn of 1994. In attempting to understand how morality was constructed by the teacher and children there, I saw that the teacher utilized a series of rituals to help the children shed their external (home) roles, make the transition to their school roles, and reaggregate as students (as opposed to children). While she conceptualized these activities as merely organizing the children for the school day, I interpreted them as a manifestation of rites of passage (van Gennep, 1960; Turner, 1969). This paper is the second in a three-part examination of these rites of passage, in which I map out and explore the teacher's use of transitional or liminal rituals to construct the moral identity of the role of student and foster the children's attachment to that role. 相似文献

Teacher testing has become well established as a tool of educational policy. Nearly all of the states now require passage of tests for teacher licensure, and tests also figure prominently in strategies to reform the teaching profession. Several models have been developed for assessing the teaching function, including objective paper-and-pencil tests and structured classroom observations. Both are used for state licensure, although evidence of their criterion-related validity is virtually nonexistent. New forms of performance assessments are now being developed, which should reflect the knowledge and skills of teaching more faithfully than any existing instruments. It is hoped that these tests will not only provide fairer and more accurate measurements of teaching ability, but will also stimulate changes in teacher preparation programs, and ultimately, improve classroom practice. 相似文献

Being a good teacher depends on many cultural and linguistic assumptions. Dominant definitions of a good teacher are often based on these implicit assumptions. Probing notions of a good teacher, we examine the endeavors of a Chinese international pre-service teacher, Ling, to become a “good teacher” through her encounters with micro-aggression in the context of her coursework and fieldwork at a U.S. university. The data presented here were collected through semi-structured interviews and field notes from 2014 to 2015 as part of a larger ethnographic case study. We find that the process of becoming a good teacher depends on many cultural and linguistic assumptions that are linked to micro-aggression. We conclude by reflecting on Ling’s understanding of a good teacher in light of dominant views on the matter and her ambivalence to speak up, and make recommendations for further research to allow for alternative views of good teachers to coexist. 相似文献

This study compared the listening retention of third-grade pupils who had been exposed to a literature passage via three modes of presentation. Within each of 20 classrooms, pupils were randomly assigned to one of three groups in which the teacher read from a book, showed a filmstrip, or showed a film. In each presentation, identical words and pictures were used. A listening retention test was administered that showed statistically insignificant differences. Following a statistical power analysis, it was concluded that the three modes of presentation produced approximately equivalent effects upon the listening retention of the pupils. 相似文献
