Lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and the transgender communities have additional health concerns and disparities unique to each population. 最近,来自医学期刊编辑国际委员会(ICMJE)的13位专家对赞助者、著者的责任和义务进行了讨论,并达成了共识[1],现将其主要内容介绍如下. 作为一般医学期刊的编辑,我们意识到在著名的、采取同行审稿的期刊上发表的临床研究结果是实施绝大多数治疗的重要依据.公众对这种已发表的有关其疗效和安全性证据的讨论是基于如下的假设,即该临床试验的资料收集和结果表述是客观的且不带有任何感情色彩.这一论述对科学地进行临床实践至关重要,因为它可以改变医生的医疗行为,并驱使改变公共和私立医疗保险政策.我们担忧在当前的学术环境中某些临床研究在其研究设计构思、观察对象征集、资料分析和结果的报告上可能有损于这一宝贵的客观性. 相似文献

Three characteristics describe the bibliographic activities of the United States Newspaper Program (USNP). Participants catalog and inventory all newspapers published and held in the United States and its territories. The Program is primarily a retrospective cataloging and union list project. Newspaper files are incomplete and are scattered across the country. Defined by these characteristics, the Program has limited funds and a time in which to catalog and inventory the nation's newspapers. The Newspaper Cataloging and Union Listing Manual, the third such manual published for the United States Newspaper Program, attempts to facilitate the work of state newspaper projects characterized by the challenges of conducting a comprehensive inventory, the opportunity afforded by retrospective cataloging and union listing, and the mysteries of cataloging less-than-full runs. Summary The promising future of new and better information services supported by the use of information technologies is well documented. Many journal articles describe successful experiences with better reference and instructional services, new services to new kinds of students who are engaged in distant independent learning or other non-traditional education, and better communication with library users. However, there are many perils on the way to delivering such improvements with the use of new finding tools, new software, new printing systems, and new telecommunication networks. An administrative overview of the sorts of planning which can smooth the implementation of information technology-based reference and instructional services outlines options for staffing, troubleshooting, fund raising, and budget development. Planning takes time and effort, collaboration and creativity. Rather than being based on an indefensible distinction between empiricists and interpretivists, this essay argues that such a distinction, although generally held by many persons, is actually not defensible on the basis of a supposed theory–data interaction. Covering law explanations are not part of common theory in communication research. Paradigmatic distinctions are typically thought of as being fundamental to the point of irresolvable, and when they are based on philosophical positions should be sharply questioned. Research is best performed when paradigms do not limit the activity or the thought of researchers. 相似文献
