基于一定数量的问卷调查数据,采用探索性因子分析方法,能够发现大学生选课行为的影响因素和选课规律。研究发现,大学生选课行为的影响因素包括:"综合素质"、"职业前途"、"社会网络"和"合法性"4个影响因子。大学生选课的基本规律是:实用的课程,看内容、看收益;非实用的课程,看兴趣、看同学、看朋友和看社会期待。在选择"实用技术类"课程时,主要考虑课程的内容和效果,是否有利于自己未来职业前途的发展,是理性和功利的;在选择"人文艺术类"和"社会科学类"课程时,主要考虑自己的兴趣、爱好,并受到他们的关系网络和制度"合法性"等因素的影响。  相似文献

传统的学生评教,评价结果单一只能用于判定教师效能,无法充分发挥评教的作用.文章提出的偏差评教模型计算出不同指标群下评价值与评价均值的偏差,并利用一向量从班级内、课程内、课程间三个不同角度给出评教结果.该模型用于实例分析能为学校课程安排、学生选课提供参考信息,具有一定的现实意义.  相似文献

本文论述了学生评教的概念,对学生评教的内涵进行了深入分析,得出课堂教学质量是与价值观相关联的概念,质量高低只是相对概念。进而指出学生评教结果与教师教学质量是两个不同的概念,不应把学生评教结果简单地理解为教学质量,而广泛用于提职、晋级、加薪、获奖这类强烈指向教学质量、工作质量的考核指标。同时强调教师教学质量与课程质量密不可分,教学质量是课程质量的重要体现。  相似文献

当前高校公选课存在三方面问题:部分教师教学素质较低,执教不严,课程考核简单化;一些学生选课盲目,逃课现象严重;教学管理部门对于教学质量监管的力度不够,课程设置随意性较大,评教考核制度欠缺。因而对策就应从加强公选课师资队伍建设,注重学生的选课和心理引导,完善教评体系,严格公选课考核和审核制度入手。  相似文献

从大学生的视角出发,研究"金课"究竟应处于何种形态,对于高校优化课堂教学、提升教学质量具有重要意义。论文以国内一所重点大学中的一个院系298份学生公选课程评价为质性样本数据,以学生在面临选课时对课程的真实感受和想法为切入点,对学生心目中的"金课"所具有的特征及其中存在的问题做了分析和探讨。研究发现,教师授课水平影响着课程质量且不同的课程类型有不同的侧重点;教学内容及其呈现方式是课程吸引力的主要来源;教学设计是学生维持课程学习稳定性的重要考量;课业评价预期是学生选课最为关注的重点。进一步分析发现,教师的师德师风虽无法量化但却对学生的课程学习有重大影响;学生关注教学内容但却普遍存在"避重就轻"观念;课堂教学难度、强度的设计也缺乏科学性与合理性。为此,高校要打造更多"金课",还需正确引导学生根据自身兴趣、专业需要进行课程学习;适度"松绑"学生评教与教师教学绩效考核之间的硬性联结,实行"宽严相济、因课制宜"课程考核制度;加大教师队伍教学能力建设方面的资源投入力度。  相似文献

对影响学生评教结果的若干因素进行研究,发现在不同学科领域、不同班级、不同教师职称和年龄之间,学生评估结果存在统计学上的显差异,而教师性别和学生年龄没有显性差异;某些因素对评教师和课程有微妙的影响。西方学的一些研究结论,在一定程度上也适合中国的情形,建议在设计量表和解释评估结果时,应尽量分开课程和教师,不要在不考虑背景的前提下进行简单比较。  相似文献

利用统计学方法检验不同"考核方式"对老师的"评教等级"与"学生成绩"间因果关系的影响,并以"考核方式"对"学生评教"的影响做t检验。结果显示:"学生成绩"与"学生评教"之间存在相关系数极小的正相关关系;课程"考核方式"与"学生评教"有显著的负相关关系,而与学生成绩无关。区别对待不同课程考核方式的学生评教结果,有利于教学管理部门正确认识和评定教师的教学水平,激励教师积极参与教学工作。  相似文献

运用文献法、访谈法、扎根理论和逻辑演绎法,建构影响高校学生评教有效性的理论模型,阐释影响因素对于逆向评教产生影响的作用机理。从目前高校评教所暴露出的突出问题,提出提高高校学生评教有效性的治理路径。研究认为,影响评教结果的主要因素包括学生因素、教师因素、学校因素以及课程因素。评教容易导致两个方向的逆向选择,其一是学生对教师评教的逆向选择,其二是教师为应对学生评教和学校制度安排对教学方式和管理方式的逆向选择。前一种逆向选择取决于学生的目标函数或偏好选择,后一种逆向选择取决于学校的制度安排。两种逆向选择构成一个彼此强化的反馈结构,形成负向强化并造成恶性循环,最终危及学校的整体教学质量和水平。  相似文献

借鉴学生个性化学习影响因素的已有研究成果,运用层次分析法确定环境支持、学习特征、教学支持、学习任务等4个个性化学习评价指标的权重,采用描述性统计分析和模糊综合评价法对47名初中生的个性化学习感知情况进行模糊评价。结果显示:学生对自己个性化学习的现状比较满意,认为当前的学习环境、学习特征、教学支持、学习任务基本能满足自身个性化学习的需求;女生的个性化学习感知程度差异较大,相对男生来说对自身学习的感知不够稳定。为了进一步提升学生的个性化学习效果,学校和教师有必要配备亟须的学习设备,营造良好的学习氛围,同时积极开拓更多人性化、个性化的课程组织与选择方式;教师还应加强与学生、父母间的信息沟通与交流,帮助学生正确认识自我,同时提高自身对学习任务的筛选、设计与推荐能力,促进学生高效学习。  相似文献

Team teaching is advocated in education to offer students multiple explanations to complex concepts and to improve teacher development. However, team teaching is typically associated with high staff cost due to the increased amount of teachers involved. The authors argue that team teaching can be conducted in a cheap way by including novice teaching assistants in the lectures and train them ‘on the job’. Additionally, novice assistants cause reflection on action and prevent a mechanization of the course. The authors use Brookfield’s four lenses to reflect on the application of team teaching in a Swedish undergraduate course on software modeling over three years, involving 3 teachers and collecting evaluation data from close to 400 students. The reflection shows that team teaching can be used as a cost-effective way to introduce novice teachers to a course, while at the same time receiving benefits from their participation in lectures and course development.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Graduate students play a major role in teaching in higher education, particularly in undergraduate programs. The purpose of the present study was two-fold: first, to identify graduate students’ motives for working as graduate teaching assistants (GTAs), describe some aspects of their work, and ascertain their perceived benefits; second, to predict GTAs’ benefits as a function of their individual background characteristics, motives, job difficulties, and richness of professional interactions with the course instructor. Data were collected from 189 GTAs who led discussion groups at a large research university in Israel by means of an internet questionnaire. Findings revealed that graduate students accepted the position of GTA mainly for extrinsic reasons, such as salary and convenience. They claimed to have faced few difficulties and that their professional interactions with the course instructors focused more on job responsibilities and less on pedagogical issues. They reported having gained a greater understanding of course content and improved teaching skills due to their experience as GTAs. Richness of contact with the course instructor, motives, difficulties, and faculty match significantly contributed to predicting perceived benefits. The implications of the results are discussed.  相似文献

To address faculty members' concern that teaching evaluation in the online environment might be lowered because of technology problems students experience in online courses, a sample of 202 undergraduate students enrolled in an introductory statistics course in a college of business administration was surveyed. Students' evaluation of their instructors and the course and their experiences with technology problems when taking the course were measured. As expected, a negative correlation between teaching evaluation and experience of technology problems was observed. Based on the finding, it is suggested that, to encourage faculty members to teach online, universities need to examine the relationship between teaching evaluation and technology problems experienced by students in the online environment and adjust the evaluation skewed by problems that are out of instructors' control. Measurement instruments used in the study and a suggested formula for adjusting teaching evaluation are provided.  相似文献

Over the past century, student ratings have steadily continued to take precedence in faculty evaluation systems in North America and Australia, are increasingly reported in Asia and Europe and are attracting considerable attention in the Far East. Since student ratings are the most, if not the only, influential measure of teaching effectiveness, active participation by and meaningful input from students can be critical in the success of such teaching evaluation systems. Nevertheless, very few studies have looked into students' perception of the teaching evaluation system and their motivation to participate. This study employs expectancy theory to evaluate some key factors that motivate students to participate in the teaching evaluation process. The results show that students generally consider an improvement in teaching to be the most attractive outcome of a teaching evaluation system. The second most attractive outcome was using teaching evaluations to improve course content and format. Using teaching evaluations for a professor's tenure, promotion and salary rise decisions and making the results of evaluations available for students' decisions on course and instructor selection were less important from the students' standpoint. Students' motivation to participate in teaching evaluations is also impacted significantly by their expectation that they will be able to provide meaningful feedback. Since quality student input is an essential antecedent of meaningful student evaluations of teaching effectiveness, the results of this study should be considered thoughtfully as the evaluation system is designed, implemented and operated.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between students’ reactions to teaching and their consequent performance as measured by course grades. Reactions to teaching were reported by 189 adult part‐time students enrolled in postgraduate studies over two consecutive academic semesters across six different study programs in a large Norwegian training institution. These students’ reactions to teaching were then assessed in relation to their consequent performance, in terms of their individual final course exam grades. The results showed that students’ reactions to teaching were unrelated to their consequent course performance. Implications for practice and directions for future research are discussed.  相似文献

传统的课程教学评价指标忽略了学生考试成绩也能在一定程度上客观反映教师的教学水平,特别是同类课程不同教师的教学效果,由此,文章提出了一个结合学生考试统计数据的新的课程教学评价指标体系和指标计算方法,并以该指标体系为核心,利用计算机技术、网络技术和数据库技术,开发了一个基于浏览器/服务器体系结构的课程教学评价系统,该系统的功能主要由三部分构成:通过网络实现学生对教师课程教学的评价及数据收集;通过网络实现对学生的在线考试及相关数据的统计;最后,将两者结合实现课程教学的综合评价。从实际运行比较结果来看,该评价系统能够对于任课教师的课程教学质量给出合理的评价结果。  相似文献
