On the evening of January 6, 2006, Zheng Danyi, a young talented student of the guzheng (Chinese zither), held her solo concert in the concert hall of the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) in Beijing. Her extraordinary interpretation of classical pieces as well as contemporary compositions won her huge ovations. Zheng successfully concluded the concert with "West China Capriccio" co-composed by Huang Zhenyu and Zhou Wang.  相似文献

Zhang Zhengyan, a Chongqing native, graduated from China Theatric Art College and is specialized in pipa (Chinese lute) and jing erhu (two-string) as well as guzheng (plucked zither). She began learning pipa at age 9 and was later admitted in the middle school attached to China Theatric Art College. In 1996, she passed the entrance examination with excellent performance and was enrolled in China Theatric Art College. Her mentors included such master musicians as Prof. Cao Baorong, Wu Chongyi, Li Guanghua, Lin Xueming, Gu Yujie and Zhao Zhiquan.  相似文献

China's performance market has become more and more prosperous in recent years. According to statistics provided by Chinese Ministry of Culture, a total of 410,000 performances were staged in 2004, attracting 400 million audiences. But at the same time, problems also emerged such as fake singing, chasing stars with public funds and gaining profits in name of charity performances. In September 1, the amended regulations on for-profit performances were put into effect to regulate China's performance market and protect legal rights of consumers and performance professionals alike.  相似文献

Cui was enrolled in Tianjin Theatre Academy in 1980 to study Zhongruan and Liuqin under the mentorship of master Zou Ke, She was also trained in several other string and percussion instruments such as Jinghu (Beijing Opera two-string violin), Yueqin (moon guitar) and Sanxian (long-necked three-string lute). She was admiMed by Central Conservatory of Music in 1989 and trained by a number of masters including Prof. Kuang Yuzhong, Zhang Dasen, Liu Xing and Zhang Xinhua. Liu Hong, member of Tianjin Musicians Association and council member of the Pipa (Chinese lute) Academic Committee of China Traditional Orchestra Association, currently teaches pipa at Tianjin Music Conservatory. She is openminded and bold and vigorous in her work. Losing her father when she was only one year old, Liu, together with her two elder sisters, were raised only by her mother who is an elementary school teacher. As she liked singing very much, her music teacher at the elementary school recommended her to the choir of the city's children place. Unfortunately, the choir had no vacancy when Liu came. She therefore was transferred to the instrument class. There she began to learn pipa. Liu was not exceptional at all in the very beginning, but she liked pipa and practiced very hard. Tang Yijie was born in Tanjin on February 16, 1927. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy of Peking University, in 1951. He successively served as professor and advisor to Ph.D. candidates at Peking University's Philosophy Department, vice chairman of China Oriental Culture Society, vice chairman of China Society on the Studies of Yan and Huang Culture, and vice chairman of Chinese Confucius Society. In 1983, he worked at Harvard University as visiting scholar. In 1986, he was engaged as research jellow by New York State University. in 1990, he was conferred with honorary doctor by McMaster University of Canada. In 2006, he was conferred with honorary doctor by Kansai University of Japan.
