目前,大众文化已成为今天大学文化建设不容忽略的现实语境。大学的人文教育者不应一味以对立的眼光看待,而要理性分析,寻找对策。首先要充分认识和挖掘大众文化中符合人文精神的内容,与学生形成认同,建立沟通;其次,要正视大众文化对人文教育的不利影响,并结合大众文化的语境特点,加强媒介素养教育、传统文化教育和审美教育,全方位地提升大众文化的人文品质。  相似文献

The middle school years are a critical time in the physical, intellectual, and moral growth of young adolescents. This article examines how film can be used to engage students in moral-dilemma discussions to promote critical thinking and character development. The authors argue that the use of film in the classroom can challenge students to expand and analyze their own values and beliefs by examining moral dilemmas in popular films. In addition, the article provides readers with a filmography of useful character education-related films for the middle school classroom. The primary focus of this article is to provide teachers with an engaging and dynamic form of instruction to help middle school students become responsible citizens of character.  相似文献

近年来,学术不端与失范现象在研究生中日趋盛行,严重扰乱了正常的教学秩序,败坏了学术风气,妨碍了研究生的学术创新,损害了研究生教育的质量。本文通过对研究生学术不端和失范行为的分析,揭示现行研究生教育体制中存在的弊病和隐患,目的在于强化研究生学术规范教育和诚信教育,健全学术规范监督惩戒机制和学术评价体制,扭转不良风气,净化学术环境,消除学术泡沫,减少学术不端与失范行为的发生,真正实现研究生学术规范由他律到自律的转变。  相似文献

Since their inception, film and television have been accused of having all kinds of magical powers to alter behaviour, coerce malfeasance and encourage debauchery. Decades of media theory later, the powers of persuasion are in fact thought to be much more modest. One area where popular media is considered to be particularly influential is education, with film and television being perceived to have a role in teaching audiences about certain topics, notably sexuality. This paper focuses specifically on the education provided by film and television about anal heterosex. Screen depictions have a function in not just putting such a sex act onto the audience agenda but in guiding viewers' reception. In this paper, the use of pleasure, pain and power frames is examined to explore the specifics of the anal education provided by screen fiction.  相似文献

This article examines the ethnocinematic research project Cross-Marked: Sudanese Australian Young Women Talk Education, and its relationship to the evolving notion of public pedagogies. The project explores the potential of alternative pedagogies, which include popular culture, especially audiovisual forms, to engage teachers and learners with one another in collaborative pedagogical methods. The author's collaborative work with students from refugee backgrounds involves what Giroux calls a ‘spectrum of social practices’ utilising a variety of media platforms. This article draws from the lived experiences of one particular co-participant, Achol Baroch, and her 15 Sudanese Australian co-participants. Their experiences of secondary education are traced through this arts-based participatory project using the emerging practice of ethnocinema, a type of ethnographic documentary film which is generative, interculturally collaborative and aligned with the transformative goals of critical pedagogy.  相似文献

In a democracy, education needs to be popular if it is to be effective; it must be engaging as well as accessible. Current bureaucratic reform proposals overlook the need to address the way curriculum experience is contextualized and shaped in the individual school. This paper seeks to throw light on the realization of popular education as a school‐based activity by drawing a parallel with the making of cultural artifacts that both entertain and enlighten. By examining in detail the 1942 film Casablanca‐‐the creative process that fashioned it and the institutional character of the Warner Bros studio that produced it‐‐it is argued that coherent curriculum experiences result not from deterministic models of rationality, but from a naturalistic approach that focuses on the deliberative solution of practical problems. Analogies are drawn with the curriculum writings of Joseph Schwab and with the management precepts of W. Edwards Deming.  相似文献

The views of Jewish education articulated by Rosenzweig in his essays “It is Time” and in “The Opening of the Lehrhaus” are quite different. So different, in fact, that an account of how one mind can produce such different accounts is necessary. Working specifically from the authors location in a working class urban teacher education program in the United States, this paper argues for the examination and problematization of one foundational archetype of a teacher in North America: the (white) Lady Bountiful. Incorporating discussions of the historical colonial contexts that produced this archetype and the ideologies she represents, this paper argues that the persistence of this image in popular culture, in teacher education programs, and beyond, contributes to a climate that makes it difficult to address white supremacy, heteronormativity and social class issues in teacher education programs. In addition, the endurance of this archetype can 'prohibit' certain bodies from entering the teaching profession.  相似文献
