习语是英语的重要组成部分,其最大来源是人类本身的各个部位。Lakoff＆Johnson提出的概念隐喻理论认为隐喻是人们思维、行为和表达思想的一种系统的方式,是通过一个概念去理解另一个概念,即源域向目标域的单方向性映射,也就是跨域映射实现的,在这一过程中,目标域概念的某一（些）元素被凸显,而其他元素则会被隐藏。本文用概念隐喻理论分析了英语中的人体部位习语,发现英语习语里的隐喻使用非常广泛,认为认知语境对于跨域过程中的凸显和隐藏有很大影响,制约着习语的形成和我们对英语习语的运用和理解。 相似文献

介绍隐喻和转喻,认为隐喻和转喻都是具有思维教育价值的认知概念。隐喻是用源域的经验说明或理解目标域经验的认知活动。转喻是一个认知域中本体和喻体的映射。隐喻和转喻对英语多义词教学具有实践指导意义。一词多义是我国学生学习英语词汇过程中的重要内容。多义词作为共时实体,其原始词义与衍生词义之间的关系是有理据的。为了帮助学生更好地学习和理解多义词,以感官名词look、sound、smell、taste、feel为例,运用隐喻和转喻分析感官名词的多个义项的形成机制,尝试为促进多义词的学习提供认知语言学的方法。 相似文献

文章尝试以概念隐喻理论为分析工具,对经济新闻文本中的隐喻进行分析。首先从China Daily和Business Weekly的经济新闻语篇中选取定量隐喻样本,分析了旅途隐喻、战争隐喻、人类隐喻、机器隐喻、容器隐喻和竞赛隐喻等六类概念隐喻。然后,进一步分析了隐喻在经济新闻语篇中一些较为显著的功能,如信息功能、文化功能、命名功能和解释功能等;而且结合所选经济新闻语篇,对其进行了深入阐释。 相似文献
