随着网络技术的普及,越来越多的学校建设了自己的校园网,校园网为信息和技术的交流提供了更大、更广阔的空间.基于网络技术开发的计算机辅助教学系统中已成为一种新兴的教学媒体,但是现有基于客户机/服务器模式的计算机辅助教学系统,存在着交互不够及时、系统费用比较昂贵及资源利用率低等问题.而P2P技术是近几年互联网上十分流行的技术,可将集中的资源分散化,使参与的用户既做资源的消费者,又做资源的提供者,从而消除了传统模式的单点瓶颈。更好地满足了师生共享资源、协作学习的要求.  相似文献

提高大学生的创新意识和创新精神,培养出具有创新能力的高素质人才是现代高等教育的主要目标之一。通常的培养方式在课堂内实施,但课外培养的平台比较缺乏。提出了基于虚拟社区培养创新能力的方法,并应用JXTA技术及Web服务建立了虚拟社区平台,为学生的创新能力培养提供了新的场所。实践测试表明,虚拟社区形式的创新能力培养方法,能够有效地弥补课堂中难以达到的培养目标,为创新能力的培养提供了一条新的途径。  相似文献

Advocates of ubiquitous computing have long been documenting classroom benefits of one-to-one ratios of students to handheld or laptop computers. The recent sophisticated capabilities of the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad have encouraged further speculation on exactly how K–12 teaching and learning might be energized by such devices. This paper summarizes the research-to-date on mobile learning for K–12 students, and then delineates specific features and applications available on the iPod Touch that might impact student learning across the curricula. Finally, caveats are offered regarding the introduction and assimilation of these handheld computers into K–12 schools.  相似文献

This paper reports on teachers’ perceptions of the educational affordances of a handheld application called Participatory Simulations. It presents evidence from five cases representing each of the populations who work with these computational tools. Evidence across multiple data sources yield similar results to previous research evaluations of handheld activities with respect to enhancing motivation, engagement and self-directed learning. Three additional themes are discussed that provide insight into understanding curricular applicability of Participatory Simulations that suggest a new take on ubiquitous and accessible mobile computing. These themes generally point to the multiple layers of social and cognitive flexibility intrinsic to their design: ease of adaptation to subject-matter content knowledge and curricular integration; facility in attending to teacher-individualized goals; and encouraging the adoption of learner-centered strategies.  相似文献

普适计算的思想体现的是用户在任何时间任何地点都能够获取目标信息,移动学习恰恰是普适计算的产物,它实现了无缝连接,极大的丰富了远程学习支持的手段。移动学习大致有五种方式:移动式存储,基于SMS短信的方式,基于连接浏览的方式和J2ME方式以及基于特定手持设备的课堂反馈系统。文章分别对五种学习方式和技术实现给予了理论和实践的解释。我校的移动学习也在SMS平台,Pocket PC远程学习支持系统和WAP移动学习信息系统上做了开发和实践,并在实践中总结出了我校下一步的移动学习开发设想。  相似文献

Abstract

Reports show that handheld, wireless computers, once used by business professionals to keep track of appointments, contacts, e-mail, and the Internet, have found their way into classrooms and schools across the United States. However, there has not been much systematic research to investigate the effects of these new technology tools on student attitude and learning outcomes, nor has there been much research evidencing that handheld, wireless computers can improve student engagement in the learning process. The purpose of this paper is to use the literature on principles of learning and instruction to develop an action-instructional model for utilization of handheld computers in the classroom. It will explain how such a model was used to integrate handheld, wireless computers in the design and development of classroom instruction and what the evaluation results are. The paper also provides some insights on what was learned from this experiment.  相似文献

In recent years information technology has been integrated into education to produce a series of trends, beginning with “electronic learning” (e-learning), through “mobile learning” (m-learning) and finally to “ubiquitous learning” (u-learning), which aims to improve learner motivation through overcoming the conventional limitations of time and location. U-learning practices are still being developed, and learners frequently experience difficulty focusing on learning objectives, and effective learning strategy tools are still lacking. This study reports the design of a context-aware astronomy learning system. The system integrates several technologies, including radio frequency identification, wireless communication networks, handheld mobile devices, and databases to help students learn astronomical concepts. Two content modules were developed in the context of natural science education for fifth-grade elementary school students in Taiwan. Indicators of user experience with the system were collected for further phenomenographic analysis, based on four perspectives of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model to assess learner willingness to use this novel u-learning approach. Results show that ease-of-use and the availability of immediate operational or technical support are key factors in increasing learning motivation and performance.  相似文献

Abstract

Digital and print readings differ in their affordances. Past research supports a print advantage, but few studies have used within-subjects approaches or compared handheld devices and multiple reading genres. We compared college students’ reading of several excerpts on paper, a laptop, and an e-reader. Students read on all platforms, completed comprehension tasks, and answered questions on their perceptions and preferences. Results indicated that students’ learning experience with print was superior, with the laptop a close second. In contrast, students’ learning from and perceptions of the e-reader were lower. There was no interaction with reading genre. This research suggests that students’ preference for print remains strong. When digital materials are used, e-readers appear to be a less viable option for academics relative to laptops.  相似文献

This paper discusses the role of ubiquitous and handheld computers in education. CILT contributions in this area are summarized, the Ubiquitous Computing sessions at the CILT2000 Conference are described, and future directions are highlighted.
