皮尔士在不同时期发展了两种信息理论。在早期,他利用传统逻辑概念发展了测度信息逻辑量的理论,将信息定义为知识和符号的增长,信息=内涵X外延。这个理论虽然采用的是语义学的概念,但根本上是语用的。在后期,他基于符号学,发展了信息的形而上学理论,将信息界定为符号过程中形式的传播。这个学说一方面复兴了信息概念的原初含义,另一方面与贝特森的信息学说相融贯。皮尔士的信息理论的重新发现为当代信息研究,尤其是语义信息和信息本体论的研究,提出了另一种可能性,提供了丰富的理论资源。 相似文献
