Elite rugby union teams currently employ the latest technology to monitor and evaluate the physical demands of training and games on their players. Tackling has been shown to be the most common cause of injury in rugby union, yet current player monitoring technology does not effectively evaluate player tackling measurements. Currently, to evaluate measurements specific to player tackles, a time-consuming manual analysis of player sensor data and video footage is required. The purpose of this work is to investigate tackle modeling techniques which can be utilised to automatically detect player tackles and collisions using sensing technology already being used by elite international and club level rugby union teams. This paper discusses issues relevant to automatic tackle analysis, describes a technique to detect tackles using sensing data and validates the technique by comparing automatically detected collisions to manually labeled collisions using data from elite club and international level players. The results of the validation show that the system is able to consistently identify collisions with very few false positives and false negatives, achieving a recall and precision rating of 0.933 and 0.958, respectively. The aim is that the automatically detected tackles can provide coaching, medical and strength and conditioning staff with objective tackle-specific measurements, in real time, which can be used in injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Cricket fast bowlers are at a high risk of injury occurrence, which has previously been shown to be correlated to bowling workloads. This study aimed to develop and test an algorithm that can automatically, reliably and accurately detect bowling deliveries. Inertial sensor data from a Catapult OptimEye S5 wearable device was collected from both national and international level fast bowlers (n = 35) in both training and matches, at various intensities. A machine-learning based approach was used to develop the algorithm. Outputs were compared with over 20,000 manually recorded events. A high Matthews correlation coefficient (r = 0.945) showed very good agreement between the automatically detected bowling deliveries and manually recorded ones. The algorithm was found to be both sensitive and specific in training (96.3%, 98.3%) and matches (99.6%, 96.9%), respectively. Rare falsely classified events were typically warm-up deliveries or throws preceded by a run. Inertial sensors data processed by a machine-learning based algorithm provide a valid tool to automatically detect bowling events, whilst also providing the opportunity to look at performance metrics associated with fast bowling. This offers the possibility to better monitor bowling workloads across a range of intensities to mitigate injury risk potential and maximise performance.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to develop an automated method for identifying and classifying change of direction (COD) movements in professional tennis using tracking data. Three sport science and strength and conditioning experts coded match-play footage of nineteen professional tennis players (9 male and 10 female) from the Australian Open Grand Slam for COD of medium and high intensity. A total of 1,494 changes were identified and aligned with 2D player position sampled at 25 Hz based on camera tracking data. Several machine learning classifiers were trained and tested on a set of 1,128 time-motion features. A random forest algorithm was found to have the best out-of-sample performance, classifying medium and high intensity changes with an F1-score of 0.729. This research offers a novel and applicable way for utilising player tracking data and machine learning techniques to automatically identify and classify COD movements in professional tennis.  相似文献

整合分期是近年来国际运动训练科学界提出的一个新方向,是推动当代运动训练模式变革的新思维,契合了当前运动训练融合创新和精准个性化调控的时代趋势。学习、借鉴和研究整合分期模式,对改变我国训练科学理论研究思维进而指导训练实践,提升科学训练水平具有重要的意义。目前,整合分期主要源自国外对零散训练实践成果的总结归纳,处于"实践到理论"的发现阶段。研究首次从"理论到理论、理论到指导实践启示"层面对整合分期模式进行系统研究。研究发现,训练分期理论元理论最新进展的"体系[系统的系统(System of Systems,SoS)]"和"反应域应激模型(reactive scope model)"是整合分期提出的重要理论基石。信息化时代背景下基于数据科学的数字化信息整合,可以助力整合分期中多源、异构、多模态复杂训练要素的高维数据挖掘,再以算法自动化生成个性化训练指导方案。整合分期模式与方法"新范式"已成形,匹配"数据石油"与"算法引擎",其或是点燃提升世界各国竞技体育国际竞争力创新动能的导火索,也将会成为一种统领运动训练模式重大变革的全新思维方法。  相似文献

Abstract

Eleven physically conditioned (CS) and 12 unconditioned (US) college women were tested perimetrically while being exposed to augmented levels of stress (ALS) on a bicycle ergometer; conditioning levels were determined by recovery rates of Ss. The Ss performed two tasks while riding; (a) keeping a central light lit, and (b) extinguishing peripheral lights when they were detected. All Ss reacted to a 12-min program of peripheral lights during three sessions: (a) one baseline trial in which Ss were not riding but reacting to the program, and (b) riding trials (RID) in which the Ss pedaled and reacted to the program. During RIDs the Ss pedaled a workload that was automatically altered to maintain a HR of 160 bpm. The data were organized into two groups: (a) reaction time data, and (b) missed light data (MLD). The RT data were analyzed through an ANOVA. It was concluded that: peripheral RT was not significantly affected by ALS; USs were affected more negatively than CSs; and there was not uniform narrowing of the peripheral visual field as expected in the hypothesis. Analyses of MLD resulted in a difference between sides, more lights were missed on the left than on the right: and again the USs were affected more negatively.  相似文献
