This teaching brief describes a method for finding an approximately optimal combination of order quantity and reorder point in a continuous review inventory model using a discrete expected shortage calculation. The technique is an alternative to a model where expected shortage is calculated by integration, and can allow students who have not had a calculus‐based statistics course to better understand how uncertainty affects inventory decisions.  相似文献

This study addresses the topic of how anchoring methods for differential item functioning (DIF) analysis can be used in multigroup scenarios. The direct approach would be to combine anchoring methods developed for two-group scenarios with multigroup DIF-detection methods. Alternatively, multiple tests could be carried out. The results of these tests need to be aggregated to determine the anchor for the final DIF analysis. In this study, the direct approach and three aggregation rules are investigated. All approaches are combined with a variety of anchoring methods, such as the “all-other purified” and “mean p-value threshold” methods, in two simulation studies based on the Rasch model. Our results indicate that the direct approach generally does not lead to more accurate or even to inferior results than the aggregation rules. The min rule overall shows the best trade-off between low false alarm rate and medium to high hit rate. However, it might be too sensitive when the number of groups is large. In this case, the all rule may be a good compromise. We also take a closer look at the anchor selection method “next candidate,” which performed rather poorly, and suggest possible improvements.  相似文献

“从来”和“向来”一直是对外汉语词汇教学的重点和难点。文章从语义分析的角度,认为;“从来”和“向来”既对立又互补。“从来”倾向用否定形式,“向来”倾向用肯定形式。若都用于否定式,则有不同的侧重点,“从来”否定式偏向对某一具体动作、行为、事件的动态否定,是倾向对客观性的否定;而“向来”否定式更偏向对静态的、抽象的、主观的方面进行否定。“从来”还可以在过去的时间中截取一段出来进行否定,但“向来”没有这个用法。  相似文献

In The Netherlands, developments in teacher education are dominated by three issues. Stimulated by a severe shortage of teachers, teacher education is changing towards competence-based teacher education, work-based teacher education and market-oriented teacher education. These developments lead to a dynamic situation in teacher education, where the traditional presuppositions of the curriculum and teacher education itself are questioned. To many teacher educators, the number of changes and new approaches is rather confusing. To make sense out of the turbulent developments, the Dutch association for teacher education VELON started a scenario project in which four scenarios for the future of teacher education in The Netherlands emerge. These scenarios are structured by two variables: the freedom of schools to define the type of teacher education they want and the freedom of students in taking responsibility for their own learning process. Compared to the ATEE-RDC19 scenarios (ATEE-RDC19, 2003) the axis pragmatism-idealism is missing, since each of the VELON scenarios can be motivated both from a pragmatic and an idealistic point of view.  相似文献

This article presents a “messy” case study designed for intermediate and advanced students or trainees in instructional design courses. In the case study, a video production company has just hired the student as its first instructional designer to help the company position itself in the interactive video training market. The case study is presented in several scenarios. The initial scenario sets the stage, de scribing the video company and its first interactive video project. This is followed by a set of decisions the student designer must make. The subsequent scenarios add a set of complicated “realworld” constraints to the project, and are again followed by sets of decision questions for the student. The case study includes directions for the instructor, a set of enrichment questions, and a bibliography.  相似文献

Using a set of data derived from 42 schools at two points in time and a widely accepted definition of organizational climate, a number of methodological and substantive issues relating to school climate were explored. Via principal component analysis, four dimensions of school climate were identified. In approaching the key issue, under what conditions it is meaningful to speak of a climate dimension as a characteristic of the school (and not some lower‐level unit), it is tentatively proposed that a climate dimension has a ‘unit reliability’ of .15 or more and an ‘aggregate reliability’ of at least .35 in order to be considered a school characteristic. Furthermore, the “longitudinal relative consistency” or stability of the dimensions was examined. It was found that at least three of the dimensions were relatively enduring over time, as they should be according to the definition of school climate. Multilevel analyses suggested that the teacher reports of school climate were fairly robust and generalizable. The thinking and findings in this article are related to recent work in the school improvement and effectiveness field.  相似文献

The shortage of qualified teachers, and the quality and quantity of the science taught in precollege institutions are two focal issues in today's national crisis in science education. This article delineates aspects of qualitative research having the potential of providing guidance to change agents in designing effective strategies to mitigate the crisis. A discursive approach to qualitative research involving the method of collecting and simultaneously analyzing data known as “grounded theory” is described. Role theory and schools as organizations composed of interactive subsystems are defined as suitable frameworks within which to analyze data.  相似文献

A weighted time-based global hierarchical path planning method is proposed to obtain the global optimal path from the starting point to the destination with time optimal control. First, the grid- or graph-based modeling is performed and the environment is divided into a set of grids or nodes. Then two time-based features of time interval and time cost are presented. The time intervals for each grid are built, during each interval the condition of the grid remains stable, and a time cost of passing through the grid is defined and assigned to each interval. Furthermore, the weight is introduced for taking both time and distance into consideration, and thus a sequence ofmultiscale paths with total time cost can be achieved. Experimental results show that the proposed method can handle the complex dynamic environment, obtain the global time optimal path and has the potential to be applied to the autonomous robot naviga- tion and traffic environment.  相似文献

清华简《系年》保存了关于西周初年“三监”史实的最早记载,为重新考察西周史研究中一直纠结不清的“三监”问题提供了新的历史资料。结合简文、西周早期青铜器铭文和传世文献来看,周初的“三监”应同管、蔡、霍三叔无关。武王克商后将以录子圣(武庚)为代表的商室贵族封于“商邑”,设“三监”予以监管。而对管叔、蔡叔等诸叔的“分封”则是通过在战略要地设置军事据点的方式,实现对新征服的原商属地的直接军事占领和控制。“三监”应是武王克商后为了监管封于“商邑”内的以录子圣(武庚)为首的商室贵族而设,而管、蔡、霍三叔则是武王派驻在战略要地的戍守长官,其职责是实现周人对新征服的原商属地的军事占领和控制,与“三监”的性质并不相同。  相似文献

Students’ demand for online learning continues. At the same time, results of multiple studies from the early 2000s through the present day point to a set of common concerns that may explain faculty members’ hesitation and resistance to online teaching. However, less is known about how faculty members experience online teaching, especially the “essential elements” of work that the literature shows relate to positive workplace outcomes. Essential elements of work, as defined by Gappa, Austin, and Trice (2007) include flexibility and balance, academic freedom and autonomy, professional relationships, and professional growth. Findings from interviews with 19 faculty members showed that online teaching simultaneously enabled and frustrated faculty’s experiences of the “essential elements.” We recommend ways in which administrators can address these frustrations and highlight the positive aspects of online teaching.  相似文献

为改善电力系统脆弱性并服务于电网规划和系统安全运行,从系统协同效应的角度探讨连锁故障的发生机理.基于复杂网络脆弱性理论,考虑电力系统的供电能力,采用最小失负荷率建立电力系统脆弱性模型.然后基于协同效应理论,考虑N-k故障情况,建立电力系统线路关键性模型,以分析影响脆弱性的关键线路.通过设置允许切负荷水平值,建立电力系统过负荷情况下的连锁故障模型.采用IEEE39算例分析验证了所提方法的有效性.分析结果表明:电网结构的薄弱点及重负荷是诱发大规模连锁故障的主要原因;高脆弱线路能够直接导致大停电事故,而低脆弱线路能够导致大规模连锁故障的发生.  相似文献

本文选取1995~2012年重庆市人均GDP作为经济增长的衡量指标,以重庆市主要污染物排放量作为重庆市环境污染水平的衡量指标,建立经济增长和环境污染的VAR模型。在此基础上,运用广义脉冲响应函数分析和方差分解方法,对经济增长与衡量环境污染水平的各指标动态关系进行了实证分析。得出结论:根据选取的地区、指标类型、数据来源等因素的不同,重庆市经济增长与环境污染间的脉冲响应曲线表现为倒“U”型、“U”型、“N”型、双“U”型以及波浪形;在不同时期对经济增长起主要抑制作用的污染指标不同;根据经济增长与环境污染间的响应曲线拐点,可及时制定有利于经济与环境协调发展的措施。  相似文献

This research uses longitudinal data from the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) and linear structural equation models (e.g., LISREL) in an evaluation of the structural, kinematic, and dynamic hypotheses of the “theory of fluid and crystallized intelligence.” In a first set of analyses we use linear dynamic models in a formal evaluation of the growth and declines of abilities through latent growth and linear dynamic models. Our first results indicate separate trends over age for different intellectual abilities including broad knowledge, spatial reasoning, perceptual speed, and immediate memory. In a second set of analyses we extend these multivariate dynamic structural equation models to explore the age-based leading and lagging indicators. These results indicate a complex system of relationships, with memory losses as an important leading indicator. In a third set of analyses we use confirmatory techniques to test specific aging hypotheses. These results indicate support for both the “general memory loss” hypothesis and the “general slowing” hypothesis, provide some support for the “investment theory” at the adult level, and also suggest a single “general” factor does not describe the complexity of cognitive aging. These result synthesize prior WAIS studies and provide methods for further research on the dynamics of the growth and decline of intellectual abilities across the adult life-span.  相似文献

This article summarizes a study of the viewpoints of Bible lecturers in the Kindergarten Education Department while teaching content related to the biblical “other.” The study, by two researchers themselves part of the study population, was conducted according to the qualitative approach and included interviews with participants from a State Education and a State-Religious college. The findings highlight the different points of origin vis-à-vis Bible studies and the search for the connection between the “other” of the Bible, the students’ own world and later, that of the children while indicating discrepancies between declared objectives and the characteristics of the students.  相似文献
