(A)Every day we go to school and listen to teachers, and the teacherwill ask us some questions. Sometimes, the classmates will ask youropinions of the work of the class. When you are telling others in the classwhat you have found out about these topics, remember that they must beable to hear what you are saying. You are not taking part in a family con-versation or having a chat with friends——you are in a situation where alarge group of people will remain silent, waiting to hear what you have…  相似文献

The main difference on the Chinese dinner table is chopsticks instead of knife and fork, but that's only superficial. Besides, in decent restaurants, you can always ask for a pair of knife and fork, if you find the chopsticks not helpful enough. The real difference is that in the West, you have your own plate of food, while in China the dishes are placed on the table and everyone shares. If you are being treated to a formal dinner and particularly if the host thinks you're in the country for …  相似文献

For you my friend... I believe-that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change. I believe-that no matter how good a friend is they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I believe-that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life. I believe-that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.I believe-that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.I believe-that you can keep going long after you can't.I believe-that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.I believe-that either you control your attitude or it controls you. I believe-that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.  相似文献

When it conies right down to it, employers considering candidates for a job really only want to know two things: What do you offer in the way of education, experience and skills? What sort of job are you looking for? Do your career goals match the job that's available? One of the best ways to answer these questions is with an objective statement at the beginning of your resume. Simply put, an objective concisely tells prospective employers what you want in a job and what you can bring to an organization. You may have heard that some employers don't want to see an objective on your resume. It's true. But for every hiring manager who says something like this:  相似文献

As part of a doctoral dissertation, Ben (2010) completed a study that extends to 462 pages. After a careful examination of this study and others that are in print, there seems to be a direct relationship between the decline in physics enrollment at the postsecondary level and the increase in the number of studies that have been carried out to determine why have we been off the mark in identifying the real problems that are contributing to the declining enrollment and the decreased student success in physics courses? One problem is introductory physics books are generally written using a deductive approach, and because the teachers follow the organization of these books, they teach in a deductive, boring, and confusing way, and then, blame the students for being unprepared when they do not succeed. This approach distances the teachers--and physics--from the experience, knowledge, and initial interest of many beginning students. Another problem has been the absence of any alternative curriculum to the deductive one. In this paper, we describe a fully-developed alternative curriculum, really a detailed course design for Introductory College Physics I and II, each with its own text presented in the format of a three-ring binder, one for students and one for teachers which closely parallel one another. The course content is constructed to be both teacher and student friendly, so that a teacher can teach physics in an inductive, exciting, and clear manner. In addition, we describe and provide examples of the pedagogical and classroom management techniques that have proven extremely successful.  相似文献

In 2010,Frontiers of Education in China underwent a complete change of direction. From publishing Chinese academic papers that had been translated into English, the journal shifted to publishing original papers, which have not appeared in print anywhere before. This important reorientation allowed us to develop a close contact with scholars studying Chinese education around the world, and to publish their insights into Chinese education in a timely manner.Prior to publication, every paper goes through a rigorous peer review process and the subsequent decisions are made with adequate communication and discussion. In working with scholars who are knowledgeable about Chinese education, including our authors, readers, and reviewers,we have developed a solid professional relationship and a valuable friendship, for which we always feel grateful.Owing to their suggestions,we have been able to introduce various initiatives for the purpose of bettering this journal.  相似文献

Do you ever havea feeling that you're drifting through life, and not going where you want to go? Or that you don't know how you got where you are today? Living consciously is about taking control of your life, about thinking about your decisions rather than making them without thought, about having a life that we want rather than settling for the one that befalls us.  相似文献

Many office personnel are so accustomed to working overtime that it has become a habit. Growing up we all dream of the perfect relationship. Our dreams are reiterated over and over in the childhood classic movies and books we watched and read. But, once we hit the "real world", it seems that those dreams we've tried so hard to keep, always end up breaking in pieces all around us. This often leads to the viewpoint that finding and maintaining that fairy tale romance is futile and hopeless. There is one exception that loving couple who seem to have everything together. How many times have you questioned, "Why can't we be like them?"The truth is, every couple can be like this by following the traits of the characters you formed your dream relationship from. Start living your life the way you want to by applying the following traits of a fairy tale couple today!  相似文献

As a significant issue of a task-based language lesson,it is raised repeatedly is that how to connect a task with some real-world activities. As Long(1985) states that tasks should involve activities that occur in daily life. When international students came to foreign countries at first, they probably have substantial academic and living difficulties. It is of practical value to provide suggestions to international students and make them to help others. Therefore, following situational authenticity(Ellis,2009),the writer selected‘how to give suggestions' as the lesson topic.According to the criteria of Common European Framework, targeted international students understand appropriate input about familiar activities, meanwhile, describe and provide personal experience, some interpretations and reasons for personal decisions.According to Dunbar(1992) suggests that working in pair is more interactive than other grouping, while four-member grouping achieves high level of efficiency. Therefore, the lesson involved eight students for the purpose of dividing them into pair work and group cooperation. With regard to goals of the lesson, there are two aspects: 1) grammatical target: students can provide advice and suggestions in eight structures, for instance, shall we...,let us...,what about...,would you like...,why not...,had better...,will you please...and do not...2) communicative target: students can enhance fluency and accuracy of speaking.  相似文献
