培训需求分析是在培训规划之前确定是否需要培训、谁需要培训以及需要何种培训的一种活动,它既关注教师的主观愿望,又重视绩效差距及其原因的客观分析.分析教师培训需求可以采用绩效分析模式和组织一任务一人员分析模式.为了推动培训者在实践中重视与开展培训需求分析,建议:(1)面向培训者开展培训需求分析专项培训;(2)从战略高度看待教师培训需求分析;(3)注重培训需求分析的科学性与规范性;(4)充分发挥培训需求分析的多重功能.  相似文献

在传统的以面授教学为特征的学习模式下,企业培训遇到以下典型矛盾:工作时间与学习时间的矛盾,经费投入与培训费用的矛盾,培训内容与培训需求的矛盾。这些矛盾严重阻碍了企业培训的发展。网络学习模式所具有的理论优势和现实可行性使它成为解决上述矛盾的基本途径,但是,构建网络培训服务环境所需要的巨大投入成为它应用发展的最大瓶颈。为了打破这种瓶颈,文章提出了建设网络培训服务系统的思路。网络培训服务系统是一个以促进企业数字化培训为目标,以市场机制为内在机制,以行业为服务范畴,面向行业从业人员,提供专业化、低成本的学习资源和学习支持服务的数字化学习支持服务系统。文章详细分析了网络培训服务系统的体系结构和运行机制,认为各个行业都应建立这样的网络培训服务系统。  相似文献

Faculty development in distance education does not happen in a vacuum. It is often interwoven with efforts to increase adoption of distance education programs and increase the effectiveness of online teaching. Training might not be the only way to meet these needs. This article presents a new faculty‐development model, based on a systematic performance analysis schema. Several alternatives to traditional training are proposed, including performance support, knowledge sharing, communities of practice, and formative evaluation.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Studies have found that Faculty–Student Interaction (FSI) has many positive benefits for students including academic support, professional development, mentoring, and career planning. Research-intensive universities exhibit the lowest levels of faculty–student interaction within higher education. This article utilises qualitative methods to explore faculty, student, and staff perceptions of faculty–student interactions, particularly those that take place out of the classroom, at a research-intensive public U.S. university. We identify social distance between faculty and students based on unequal status within a rigid, hierarchically-organised culture as a key barrier to FSI. We then discuss methods that some of the faculty in our study used to mitigate their social distance with students in an effort to increase FSI.  相似文献

Many challenges associated with distance education and technology integration initiatives focus on faculty issues and concerns. This article analyzes these difficulties by identifying from the literature current trends affecting faculty, faculty motivators, and faculty challenges. Then, following this review and analysis, the article presents seven strategies for university administrators and faculty to consider as part of their own strategic plan to mitigate faculty concerns and ensure program success. The seven strategies discussed include the following: (1) enable colleges and departments to accept more responsibility for distance education activities; (2) provide faculty more information about distance education programs and activities; (3) encourage faculty to incorporate technology into their traditional classrooms; (4) provide strong incentives for faculty to participate in distance education; (5) improve training and instructional support for distance education faculty; (6) build a stronger distance education faculty community; and (7) encourage more distance education scholarship and research.  相似文献

随着远程教育的快速发展,教师发展问题已经受到远程教育机构越来越多的重视。如何更好地促进远程教育教师的发展,即教师发展途径的问题,在理论和政策上已有诸多探讨,但这些探讨大多是从应然的角度对远程教育教师和教育机构提出的理想化要求,并没有切身关注教师的实际需求、期望和实效。以这一研究视角为切入点,通过调查某开放大学全体专职教师对教师发展途径实效的看法,结果发现:在我国远程教育系统目前主要存在的8种教师发展途径中,"学历深造"的认可度最高,"自我反思"是最具弹性和自主化的发展途径,"同行交流与互助"比"专家指导"具有更大的实效,"校外培训"比"校本培训"的实效更好,"教研活动"的实际帮助程度较低,"竞赛和公开课"的实效最低。为了促进远程教育教师持续而系统的发展,远程教育机构应积极探索新的远程教育教师发展系统,既要明确身份和定位,从制度和组织层面进行系统规划,又要为教师发展途径的选择提供弹性和灵活性,更要注重教师发展途径具体的实践性和情境性,以此来重构、重组和优化远程教育教师发展系统的可能空间。  相似文献

在高校政工队伍的建设取得了显著的成绩的同时也存在着诸如年龄、职称结构不尽合理,政工工作者的整体素质不是很高,“人心不稳”、“人心思动”的现象,领导重视程度不够与经费投入严重不足等问题。这需要我们采取通过深造、培训等措施,着力提高政工工作人员的整体素质;采取有效措施,稳定高校政工队伍;建立一支以专职为主、兼职为辅的专兼职相结合的政工队伍;重视高校政工科学理论与工作方法的研究,以切实加强高校政工队伍的建设。  相似文献

Abstract

Using an experiential case approach, this study explores the conventional wisdom that distance education courses require greater faculty work effort and time commitment than traditionally taught courses. The study's basis for analysis is an instructor's time and effort in developing and delivering a graduate‐level course in public administration, for both a distance course (a modality with which he had no previous experience) and his traditional classroom courses. The study finds support for the conventional wisdom. But it also suggests hypotheses for future comparative analysis that development and delivery time and effort may partially depend on the accumulation of instructor experience and the level of institutional support. This article also identifies some implications for future research and faculty participation in distance education.  相似文献

In this paper we present a model for overcoming the significant barriers encountered by a small teacher education program in its effort to integrate technology within its curriculum. At the University of New England, teacher education faculty have succeeded in overcoming these impediments by collaborating with faculty in other programs of the institution. The model illustrates lessons learned over a period of four years as we moved from our initial ‘one step at a time’ plan to the current strategy. This successful model details our efforts to garner administrative and financial support, acquire hardware and software, provide opportunities for training and education, and develop technology rich learning experiences for our students.  相似文献

Since the Post-9/11 GI Bill was enacted in 2009, student veteran populations have nearly doubled while services that support their transition to higher education have dramatically increased. Despite a surge in resources, however, institutions are deficient in training faculty and staff about veterans’ issues, consequently leaving student veterans susceptible to inaccurate perceptions about their service and wellbeing. In an effort to provide an inclusive environment for service members, this article discusses findings from two focus groups and 14 interviews with student veterans. Recommendations for training faculty and staff and enhancing the visibility of veterans’ issues through Veteran Ally training and student veteran discussion panels are discussed.  相似文献

本研究旨在了解当前传统高校教师眼中网络教育的机遇与挑战问题。结果表明,传统高校教师对网络教育可能带来的一些机遇表示了积极认同的态度,对所列举的三十项影响网络教育发展的挑战因素,教师们的认同程度有轻有重。基于结果,本研究提出今后中国网络教育建设过程中战略认识、激励与培训以及系统研究的重要性。  相似文献

With the growth of online and distance education in social work, faculty training and support need to be provided to ensure high-quality online social work education. A model for training social work educators in online teaching is outlined that focuses on pedagogy, technology, and social work values. Columbia University School of Social Work’s Online Campus provides a five-week Institute on Pedagogy and Technology for Online Courses for prospective social work instructors. The Institute provides a faculty training model that can be adopted in other social work programs, and seeks to model best practices in online education.  相似文献
