文章回顾了我国大陆地区和台湾地区高等教育教学评估的发展历程,选取2004年大陆地区本科教学评估和台湾地区大学校务评鏊作为研究对象,从评估目的、评估主体、评估专家数量和国际化程度、评估内容、评估方法、评估结果等六个方面对二者进行比较分析,以期相互借鉴.不断提高海峡两岸高等教育评估水平、办学水平和教育质量。  相似文献

新时代背景下我国经济社会发生着深层次的变革,使高校对社会的教育贡献度有了新的更高要求,而我国高等教育评估制度对高等教育的发展具有突出的引导和激励功能,从政策引领、专业指导和综合服务等多个方面引导高校实现其服务国家战略的核心价值。文章在回顾我国高等教育评估发展历程和实现路径的基础上,阐述了审核评估的特点与内涵,并以审核评估为例分析了教育评估通过引导高校合理确定目标定位、优化资源配置、建立质量保障体系和密切联系社会等方面促进高校提升办学质量,推动内涵发展的主要表现,并从完善教育评估工作,建立学校自我评估制度和树立高校职能协调发展的价值导向等三个方面展望了高等教育评估工作的发展方向。  相似文献

In this qualitative case study, the researchers explored 3 8th grade teachers?? formative assessment practices as it occurred during their mathematics instruction at socioeconomic status (SES)-different schools in Taiwan. Instructionally embedded formative assessment we refer to as discourse-based assessment practice (DAP). In Taiwan, there is a large mathematics achievement gap among high SES and low SES and minority students in 8th grade. Addressing this issue at the level of classroom practice, we attempt to document teachers?? DAP using a parsimonious, but practical framework for analyzing classroom discourse in 23 lessons. For the purpose of this study, 3 lessons for each teacher are represented. The extended sequence (Mehan, 1979) was the primary unit of analysis, to which we applied our framework for illuminating and differentiating the teachers?? press for student understanding through questions and feedback. The analysis of the teacher??s instruction at the high SES indicated that it was more formative than the others, pressing for mathematical understanding. The 2 teachers at the low SES schools pressed for rote understanding, though there were qualitative differences between them. The findings raise more questions and implications for research and education policy. In Taiwan where there is scant research on classroom practices, DAP as an instructional improvement may be a starting point for educational improvement for all its students.  相似文献

The study was designed to support teachers on conceptualizing their understanding of students' learning by the use of assessment tasks. A school-based assessment team consisting of the researcher and four third-grade teachers teaching in the same school was set up as a learning context of supporting teachers in developing assessment tasks integral to instruction. The assessment tasks along with students' responses to the task, classroom observations, interviews, routine weekly meetings, teachers' weekly reflective journals, and students' responses to the assessment tasks were the data collected in the study. The teachers' views of using assessment tasks and the generation of assessment tasks were developed in the course of the study. In the process of generating assessment tasks, teachers improved their awareness of students' various solutions and learning difficulties to a specific problem, their awareness of the importance of developing students' critical thinking, and their awareness of where students need to make a remedial instruction. 两岸的大学入学考试因其社会、文化背景的不同而存在差异,但也显现不少相似的发展和问题,积极探索多元评价制度便是两岸的重要共识之一。对比两岸大学入学考试多元评价的改革方案,发现二者在改革目的、策略、方向等方面几乎一致,但在改革路径、力度和原则方面则存在较大差异。两岸改革的历史经验和现实教训告诉我们:高考改革必须以公平为主旋律,强化循序渐进原则,同时重视传统文化和观念的改造。  相似文献

Higher Education Evaluation & Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) was established in 2005 and began to accredit 76 four-year comprehensive universities and colleges in Taiwan in 2006. Commissioned officially with a dual mission, HEEACT has been encouraged to conduct various ranking research projects, including global and national ones starting in 2007. One of the HEEACT’s most influential rankings is “Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities.” Given the fact that more and more national accrediting bodies are developing ranking systems, these dual roles like in the HEEACT case have led to many discussions and raised severe criticism in the quality assurance community due to their different aims and approaches. Therefore, the purposes of the paper are to provide an understanding of the functions of varying quality assessment tools in higher education, to analyze their impact on Taiwan higher education and to examine the conflicting roles of HEEACT while conducting both accreditation and rankings over the institutions that have been granted the two major national Research and Teaching Excellence Programs.  相似文献

The purpose of the present study was to design reflective writing mechanisms in a web-based portfolio assessment system and evaluate its effects on self-regulated learning. Participants were two classes of juniors majoring in data processing and taking a course called “Website design” at a vocational high school in Taiwan. One class was randomly selected and assigned as an experimental group (41 students) reflecting on learning processes through a web-based portfolio assessment system, whereas the other class was assigned as a control group (41 students) reflecting on learning processes through a paper-based portfolio. The result revealed that students who were highly satisfied with online reflective writing mechanisms significantly outperformed students who were less satisfied with online reflective writing mechanisms in self-regulated students reflecting on learning processes through a web-based portfolio assessment system significantly outperformed students reflecting on learning processes through a paper-based portfolio in self-regulated learning.  相似文献
