本文将委婉语分为狭义委婉语和广义委婉语,主要探讨两类委婉语的基本构成特点。狭义委婉语的构成相对固定,针对禁忌语而言,是形式比较固定的词或短语。广义委婉语相对灵活,主要通过语音语调、词汇、句法甚至篇章手段实现委婉。通过研究委婉语的分类与构成,能帮助大学生更好的学习与应用英语英语委婉语,提高交际能力。 相似文献

委婉语的出现、创造、使用及发展与人类思维密切相关。根据所表示的对象禁忌与否,英语委婉语可分为传统委婉语和文体委婉语两类。原始思维把语言符号的能指和所指等同起来,由此产生了对某些语言符号的禁忌,只好用一些委婉的说法替代被禁忌的语言符号,这就是传统委婉语的成因。文体委婉语与禁忌无关,它是人们有意识地利用语言符号的任意性和人类思维的联想性,在目标和始源之间强制建立相似性联想的结果。按照委婉语在交际中所发挥的作用,文体委婉语又可分为夸张性委婉语、缩小性委婉语和模糊性委婉语三类。人类思维的变化决定了委婉语的发展规律——不断更新规律。 相似文献
