几年前,当香港电视传媒所惯用的“说”新闻这种电视播音形式落地中国之后,立刻拥有了为数众多而且相对固定的收视群体,其代表是凤凰卫视的《时事直通车》、《凤凰早班车》等新闻栏目。这种颇具亲和力的新闻播音形式也刺激了大陆的电视界同行,他们纷纷开始学习模仿,进而开始深层次的反思,并对传统的、单一的新闻播音形式进行批驳,甚至有部分电视同行提出电视括音到了该说的时候。由此,电视界也展开了一场“播”与“说”的辩论。那么,电视新闻到底是“播”好还是“说”好呢?在笔者看来,无论是“播”还是“说”,都只是电视新闻括音…  相似文献

一、"喉舌论"的由来和发展 在中国,最早提出喉舌论断的人当属梁启超,他最早把报纸性质概括为"耳目喉舌",在实践中真正把报刊当作政治活动的武器.正是他明确提出了政党报纸的概念.可以说,"喉舌论"最初的提出便早已具有了浓厚的政治色彩,突出强调了新闻传媒的政治宣传功能.在这之后,政党报纸的理论在孙中山那里成为真正的办报指导原则.新中国成立后,我党提出的以马克思、恩格斯、列宁、斯大林、毛泽东新闻学说为核心的关于新闻事业性质的观点占有举足轻重的地位.毛泽东根据社会存在与社会意识的关系,指出报纸属于意识形态范畴,是一种上层建筑,是一定社会的经济基础通过新闻手段的反映.经过一段时间的积累和发展,终于,胡耀帮同志在<新闻工作的性质问题>中指出:"我们党的新闻事业,究竟是一种什么性质的事业呢?就它最重要的意义来说,用一句话来概括,我想可以说党的新闻事业是党的喉舌,自然也是党所领导的人民政府的喉舌,同时也是人民自己的喉舌."江泽民同志在<关于党的新闻工作的几个问题>中也指出:"我们国家的报纸、广播、电视等是党、政府和人民的喉舌."所以,党和政府、人民的喉舌,这种对新闻传媒性质的界定成为我们新闻传播观念的基础.  相似文献

The television medium has occupied a dominant place in Bangladesh. With the unprecedented expansion of the television industry, questions are being raised about a palpable rise in market-oriented journalism (MOJ) in the country. This article examines the theoretical and empirical relationship between MOJ and credibility of TV news. Three surrogate factors of MOJ including independence, social role, and objectivity, along with TV news credibility are analyzed for insights. The findings suggest that there is a complex relationship between the two constructs. To improve the perception of credibility of TV news, our findings suggest an important role of public journalism as an alternative to MOJ.  相似文献

Intermedia agenda setting predicts a high degree of convergence between news media agendas. However, the rise of social media forces a re-examination of this expectation. Using the 8.8-earthquake of February 27, 2010 in Chile as a case study, this article compares which topics were covered by professional journalists on broadcast news and Twitter, analyzing both cross-sectional and longitudinal trends. A positive, reinforcing influence was found among the journalistic agendas of TV and Twitter. However, counter to the idea that social media are echo chambers of traditional media, it was found that Twitter influences TV news more so than the other way around. Thus, the study provides an early lens into the agenda setting function of social media among television news professionals, and its findings are consistent with Twitter succeeding among journalists due to its provision of valuable information.  相似文献

This investigation provides survey data for a cross‐media comparison between newspaper photo editors and television news directors to assess the ethical response to digital image processing and enhancement technology. The results indicate that television news directors tend toward less strict ethical standards in application of the technology. However, the television people showed more sensitivity to aspects of the technology that relate to long‐standing themes of TV critics.  相似文献

Based on a content analysis of evening newscasts by the three television stations in Taiwan, this study examines the patterns of news sources selection and presentation in television news. The results of this study show that television news relies heavily on government officials who are primarily middle‐aged men in executive positions located in the capital city of Taipei. These findings suggest that the central government officials in Taipei appear to be the primary definers of social reality. TV news portrays only a very limited view of the society. In conclusion, this study suggests that with the management and content tightly controlled by the state, Taiwan's television news consists primarily of official rituals.  相似文献

This article presents a secondary analysis of two multi-national cross-sectional surveys conducted in 2015 (11 countries, N?=?10,570) and 2017 (4 countries, N?=?2165) to examine the relationship between populist attitudes and media use. The results indicate that populist citizens are more likely to consume news than non-populist citizens. Specifically, populist citizens exhibit a preference for commercial television (TV) news, as well as a tendency to read tabloid newspapers. While they use fewer quality newspapers, public TV news are not systematically avoided. Regarding the online news environment, populist citizens prefer Facebook over Twitter as a source of political information. This selective pattern will be discussed in light of the debates on news audience polarization and political polarization.  相似文献

The emergence of reality TV and the use of live-shot material in documentary programs are salient features of contemporary television, raising a variety of challenges for critical analysis. We present here a number of pieces that reflect on “liveness” in different genres (reality TV, news, and documentary) from diverse theoretical perspectives. In the first paper, Peter Lunt introduces the papers and sets the scene by developing key themes in the analysis of liveness. The papers by Nick Couldry and Jane Roscoe discuss reality TV. John Corner analyzes the use of live-shot material in documentaries. Finally, Thornborrow and Fitzgerald unravel the deployment of devices for representing reports of live events in news.  相似文献

Local television news is frequently shaped by tradeoffs between journalistic judgment and the imperatives from the business side of a media organization. This study, based on a survey of local television journalists at 12 stations, offers a test of a common assumption: that work roles are a major influence on journalistic values and orientations. Data suggest that work roles have some relationship to values and orientations, but socialization and professionalism produce much more striking contrasts in the views of local TV journalists.  相似文献
