中国科学技术大学图书馆建于1958年,图书馆全馆有10个中外文书库,16个中外文书刊阅览室,2个电子阅览室,近200台计算机供用户进行电子检索.馆藏中有中外文图书145万册,中文期刊1200多种,外文期刊1500多种,中外文全文电子期刊10000多种,较好地满足了全校18000多名师生教学科研对文献信息的需求,尤其是"高水平大学"建设和"知识创新工程"的实施,为图书馆提供了前所未有的发展机遇.. 相似文献

外文期刊是直接反映国外政治、社会、经济、科技和文化等各个领域动态的重要信息载体,是我国了解世界的一个窗口。对图书馆来说,优化外文期刊管理,充分发挥其传递国际信息的功能,无疑是图书馆管理的重要环节。目前许多图书馆,尤其是高校系统图书馆,普遍存在着一个外文期刊“投入多产出少”的怪圈。其具体表现是:外文期刊订购费用总额往往比中文期刊高出几倍,甚至几十倍,有的需要花费国家宝贵的外汇,但外文期刊阅览室 相似文献

目前许多工厂技术图书馆书库十分拥挤。以上海某个工业系统20个技术图书馆来说,除郊区四家工厂外,市区所属工厂、研究所图书馆因书库拥挤,有的馆把1970 年以前的外文期刊或1980年合订本期刊下架包扎堆放。这些期刊大都是专业对口、技术性强的资料,由于无法上架,对科技人员参考使用带来不便。少数单位甚至连阅览室也没有。我们呼吁 相似文献

<正> 各高校图书馆都订有很多外文期刊,但目前一个普遍现象是外文期刊的利用率不高.造成这种局面的原因,除读者的外文水平之外,图书馆主动宣传、揭示馆藏內容不够,也是一个不可否认的因素.我认为全国高校馆应联合起来译编我们所订的外文期刊的篇名目录.虽然目前有关单位按专业出版了一些"国外科技资料馆藏目录",但这些目录就专业面来讲不全,具体到一个专业来讲也没有把本专业所有的期刊内容都包括进去.另外,有些馆为了本校教学和科研的需要,也搞了一些篇名目录. 相似文献

<正> 期刊利用率低,主要指外文专业期刊利用率低下,这是长期以来使图书馆界感到困扰和不安的事。本文以作者从事期刊工作多年的观察来对这个问题作些探讨,以求教于专家同行。一、专业期刊利用的五要素许多文章谈到外文专业期刊的利用率只有百分之十几至百分之二十几,其依据是对期刊外借所作的统计。其实,这样的统计并没有完全反映期刊被利用的全部频率。一个图书馆的期刊利用,应包括读者直接查阅利用及间接地经由馆员查检并传递给读者这两大方面。而后者在已往的统计中往往被略而不计。其实这是不容忽视的,且今后会更显出这种利用的重要性。如果将读者在阅览室内阅览、翻阅、摘录、复印、馆际互借,特别是读者对开架期刊的频繁利用都计算在 相似文献
