论文运用赫茨伯格(Frederick·Herzberg)的双因素理论,联系图书馆的管理实际,提出在图书馆馆员管理中应同时考虑激励因素与保健因素,而且应特别重视激励方式。在选择切实可行的激励方式、增强图书馆馆员管理规范性的基础上,因人而异,根据层次性要求,采用柔性化的激励措施。  相似文献

期望理论以关注个体的自我利益为出发点来强调激励水平的效果,文章将期望理论涉及的三个要素:期望值、效价与相关性引入图书馆的用户服务过程,指出馆员与用户激励的双向性与能动性,通过对图书馆用户和馆员的期望理论分析,重点阐述了图书馆用户的激励路径,包括用户"金字塔"式需求的分析、"期望——效价——激励"的动态过程、营造合理科学的目标环境、制定有效的相关性评估体系等,以用户和馆员的双激励实现图书馆的可持续发展。  相似文献

创客空间服务推动着图书馆的人力资源重组与变革,激励馆员积极面对变革、参与变革。文章通过馆员访谈,运用扎根方法从馆员需求的视角构建出馆员参与创客空间转型服务激励机制,运用因子分析法对激励机制的有效性进行了验证与完善。文章得出以下结论:馆员正向激励包括工作条件与环境、服务能力建设、参与动机强化、馆员获得感知4个维度;该激励机制对于增强馆员参与转型服务意愿具有较好的针对性和实用性。  相似文献

目前,学习共享空间(LC)服务不同于传统的图书馆服务,使馆员普遍面临科技压力、组织文化压力、人际关系压力。同时,LC环境对参考咨询馆员、学科馆员、信息技术馆员、写作指导馆员的素质提出了新的要求。图书馆应加强与各院系的沟通与合作,培养馆员协作精神;建立馆员培训长效机制,培育创新型馆员队伍;大力推广LC理念,激励馆员终身学习能力;拓宽人才引进渠道,提升馆员综合素质;建立健全轮岗机制,增强馆员应变能力;营建和谐LC人际氛围,激发馆员工作热情。  相似文献

Although librarians’ increasingly important role as teachers is among the most significant shifts and trends that have been reshaping academic libraries over the past few decades, most academic librarians have not received formal training in pedagogy and teaching. The authors describe how becoming familiar with educational theory and research enabled them to revamp freshmen library workshops. They provide a theoretical overview and present practical classroom applications of learning styles theory, active learning techniques, learning by analogies, collaborative learning, and group work. Learning theories and educational research findings, the authors suggest, can be readily translated into practice and inform the teaching of information literacy to freshmen.  相似文献

Abstract

Librarians gather data on multiple aspects of their work. Much of the data collection revolves around the library’s resources, but what may be passed over during this data collection is information on how librarians are expending their time and effort. A group of librarians from a community hospital system designed a Microsoft Access database to collect such data and has been recording librarians’ efforts for more than three years. The librarians use the data in annual reports and can track trends to evaluate service priorities and maximize effective use of the librarians’ time.  相似文献

This study sought to identify medical librarians’ roles in supporting evidence-based medicine (EBM) practice; determine whether medical librarians’ work settings, work experiences, or job titles made a difference in their EBM responsibilities; and find out medical librarians’ perceptions of their roles in EBM practice. An online survey was distributed to U.S. medical librarians. The results showed that medical librarians had positive perceptions of their EBM-related responsibilities, which were diverse and specific. Their work experience, work settings, and job title categories related to some of their EBM responsibilities, as well as the nature of some of the responsibilities.  相似文献

They need training because technology, the character of populations, and local economics all are changing. Recognizing that technology is a catalyst of change, the author shows how librarians can and do work to help libraries harness the power of technology to navigate the changing reading and information needs of their communities. Determining the core journals in a discipline serves an important role for both academic librarians and departmental faculty. In addition to helping librarians build or weed journal collections, especially in difficult budget years, core lists help departments seeking accreditation, committees evaluating a candidate’s scholarship for tenure and promotion, and faculty choosing publications for their research. They also assist faculty guiding student research in the discipline. However, because of the inexorable changes that have occurred, and will continue to occur, in scholarly communication, no such list can be considered immutable. The purpose of this study is to identify a method by which individual librarians and/or libraries can create a list of journals considered important to a discipline, one that accurately reflects the state of scholarly communication in a field as it relates to the currency and quality of journal literature, and that is sustainable over time. More specifically, our purpose is twofold. First, to develop a sustainable method for defining the universe of potential core titles; and, second, to identify the core titles within that universe. As the result of discussions on this issue with a social work faculty member, the authors used social work journals for developing a methodology that may be applied to other disciplines.  相似文献

Academic librarians have utilized video tutorials for many years, however, the videos may not be useful or usefully shared. Cognitive theory of multimedia learning (CTML) provides evidence-based design principles for librarians to create instructional videos that can expand reference support. Meaningful learning through video can be uniquely integrated into students' academic experience. The author applied CTML to videos on course assignments and then utilized the learning management system to send them to students enrolled in the course. This study builds upon the evidence-based conclusions of CTML and contributes an innovative way to integrate reference into the student experience. This is an important contribution as librarians seek to scale and expand reference support to in-person, online, and hybrid learning environments.  相似文献
