Unbonded beams supported by a foundation are studied. The foundation is assumed that tensile stresses cannot be transmitted across the interface between beams and their supporting subgrade. The subgrade is characterized by a two-parameter model proposed by Vlasov and Leont'ev, Pasternak and Filonenko-Borodich. Thus the shear strength of the foundation material is taken into account. With a suitable choice of parameters, analytical solutions are obtained and compared to experimental results reported by Durelli et al. There is always a general interest in the evaluation of the effects of training on the overall goals of an organization. This paper describes an approach being taken in the nuclear power industry concerning the effectiveness of training on safety. Several approaches to the development of performance indicators as means for monitoring this effectiveness are described. A total of 636 full-time school psychologist practitioners in Pennsylvania were surveyed and asked to complete a demographic data form and to estimate the actual percentage of time they spent in assessment, counseling, consultation, research, clerical tasks, and administrative tasks, and the amount of time they desired to spend in each of these roles. No statistically significant differences were found between male and female school psychologists in actual time spent in various roles or the time desired to be spent in various roles. Male school psychologists were found to work longer contract lengths and to make more money than their female counterparts. When monthly salaries were compared (adjusted for differences in contract length), statistically significant salary differences between male and female school psychologists were found. 相似文献

This study presents the findings of a survey in which agencies providing residential support to persons with disabilities reported their capacity to support persons with disabilities who present challenging behaviours. A total of 46 agencies completed the self-report; 62 were initially distributed. Summary variables were calculated for two independent measures, Organisational Stability and Administrative Leadership, and four dependent measures, Staff Structures, Staff Training, Measurements Systems, and Behavioural Systems. Agencies reported between 71% (Organisational Stability) and 83% (Administrative Leadership) of the features as present. The measures were all inter-correlated; Administrative Leadership was found to be more highly correlated with the dependent measures, and to better predict the dependent measures. Specific areas of low capacity were noted in all dependent measures, including features such as inadequate resources for behaviour support, reported by 40% of the responding agencies. Implications of the findings are presented for building agency capacity and community-based support of persons with disabilities. 相似文献
