Background: The Polish Medical Bibliography (Polska Bibliografia Lekarska) contains 350 000 records dating from 1979. These records from the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, health care systems and preclinical sciences are from nearly 300 biomedical journals published in Poland. Methods: We systematically searched the Polish Medical Bibliography Part II (1996–2006) CD‐ROM (July 2006) using both English and Polish phrases for randomized trials, manually checked results and, for the trials identified in this way, sought these on medline and embase . Results: Systematic searching identified records of 680 randomized trials from all areas of health care. Nearly 40% of these were not found on either medline or embase . Conclusions: The Polish Medical Bibliography should be of interest to health care information specialists concerned with comprehensive searches for trials.  相似文献

Disturbance rejection in nonlinear uncertain systems is a challenging issue especially when the sensor noise cannot be eliminated by low pass filtering. Fuzzy relational models (FRM) can effectively represent the sensor noise in the fuzzy control signal. Due to the large amount of sensor noise there will be huge actuator movement. In most of the cases the actuator movement is in response to the noise and not due to the set-point change. Conditional defuzzification is employed to reduce the control activity. The amount of control activity depends on the threshold level of the conditional defuzzification scheme. A novel scheme has been presented in this paper which can significantly reduce the actuator movement due to noise by adapting the conditional defuzzification threshold. Effective disturbance rejection can be achieved if the controller is modeled as an exact inverse of the plant model. The controller is a fuzzy relational model which develops the inverse plant model by incorporating feedback error learning. Sensitivity analyses have been carried out which demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed methodology.  相似文献

This paper deals with the leaderless consensus controller design for nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) subject to the input saturation nonlinearity by using an event-triggered (ET) mechanism. An adaptive ET scheme has been established with variable threshold parameter for attaining an efficient control bandwidth. Linear parameter varying (LPV) formulation and region of stability investigation for dealing with the inherent nonlinearity and input saturation, respectively, are focused in the study. A consensus controller design condition has been formulated to ensure the regional stability, to determine the consensus protocol gains, to choose the parameters of ET mechanism, and to select an appropriate adaptation law for ET control. Elimination of Zeno behavior, based on nonlinearity bounds, for the adaptive ET mechanism has been ensured through a rigorous analysis. In contrast to excising methods, a directed communication topology, adaptive ET mechanism, and removal of Zeno behavior as well as elimination of the windup effect of saturation have been considered in our work. A simulation study has been provided for six robotic agents and comparison results with the existing method are revealed.  相似文献

It is argued in this article that the human body both in health and disease cannot be fully understood without adequately accounting for the different levels of human variation. The article focuses on variation due to ancestry, arguing that the inclusion of information pertaining to ancestry in human anatomy teaching materials and courses should be carried out and implemented with care and in line with latest developments in biological anthropology and related sciences. This seems to be of particular importance in the education of health professionals, as recent research suggests that better knowledge of human variation can improve clinical skills. It is also argued that relatively small curricular changes relating to the teaching of human variation can produce significant educational gains.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of individual, environmental, training design, and affective reaction factors on training transfer and transfer motivation. To determine the relationship between these factors and their influence on training transfer and to test the model, the researchers collected data from employees in the Malaysian banking sector. Structural equation modeling with Amos 16 was used to test the model and determine the relationship. The study suggested that training stakeholders should manage the training program effectively. Transfer is maximized when trainees have social support, high performance self‐efficacy, and transfer motivation. Stakeholders (e.g., trainers, trainees, supervisors, and peers) are important to the training transfer process, as are learner readiness, trainee reaction, instrumentality, and training retention. This study revealed that perceived content validity and transfer design work together and influence the trainee's performance self‐efficacy. In other words, if trainers want to improve the performance self‐efficacy level of trainees, they need to explain how the trainee can transfer the learned skills at the workplace and make sure the content of the training is similar to the actual job. The main objective of training programs is to align the employee's expertise with organizational goals. Organizations can achieve their desired objectives only when employees transfer the learned skills on the job. Unfortunately, employees often transfer only a small percentage of skills they have learned in training. To effectively manage their training programs, organizations need to identify and focus on the factors that resist effective training transfer.  相似文献

Identity formation is a critical process shaping the lives of adolescents and can present distinct challenges for Black adolescent girls who are positioned in society to negotiate ideals of self when presented with false and incomplete images representing Black girlhood. Researchers have found distorted images of Black femininity derived from history, including the mammy, jezebel, and Sapphire, are still pervasive in contemporary media outlets that are often viewed by adolescent girls. The current qualitative interview study examined literate interpretations of current media representations depicting Black girlhood from eight adolescent girls. Findings show that participants believed that Black girlhood is portrayed as being judged by their hair; is seen as angry, loud, and violent; and is sexualized.

?Following the interview, the girls used their pens to write against each of these portrayals and also to write toward social change. The ways the girls desired to be represented were in opposition to the ways they felt society and media viewed them. Their responses and literary writings suggest that Black adolescent girls need spaces to negotiate depictions of self and identity.  相似文献
