Although research on Tier 2 interventions for early mathematics is accumulating, such efforts remain far behind those for reading, especially regarding specific features such as the ideal time to begin an intervention. The present study investigated the effectiveness of a Tier 2 intervention using a single subject multiple baseline, across-groups design with two cohorts of second graders. Because the two cohorts of students were given the intervention at different times during the second grade year, the study also documented whether the timing of the intervention affected acquisition and retention of second grade mathematics competencies. Finally, the study tracked student performance up to the first semester of the third grade year to document any sustained effects. The results show that the supplemental intervention was effective for both cohorts, but differences in performance indicate that the timing of the intervention may affect the degree of success. In addition, for some participants, the positive effects of the intervention were sustained into the third grade year. 相似文献

A new combined time and frequency domain method for the model reduction of discrete systems in z-transfer function is presented. First, the z-transfer functions are transformed into the w-domain by the bilinear transformation, z = (1+w)/(1?w). Then, four model reduction methods—Routh approximation, Hurwitz polynomial approxima- tion, stability equation, and retaining dominant poles—are used respectively to reduce the order of the denominator polynomials in the w-domain. Least squares estimate is then used to find the optimal coefficients in the numerator polynomials of the reduced models so that the unit step response errors are reduced to a minimum. The advantages of the proposed method are that both frequency domain and time domain characteristics of the original systems can be preserved in the reduced models, and the reduced models are always stable provided the original models are stable. 相似文献

This paper presents a relaxed scheme of fuzzy controller design for continuous-time nonlinear stochastic systems that are constructed by the Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy models with multiplicative noises. Through Nonquadratic Lyapunov Functions (NQLF) and Non-Parallel Distributed Compensation (Non-PDC) control law, the less conservative Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) stabilization conditions on solving fuzzy controllers are derived. Furthermore, in order to study the effects of stochastic behaviors on dynamic systems in real environments, the multiplicative noise term is introduced in the consequent part of fuzzy systems. For decreasing the conservatism of the conventional PDC-based fuzzy control, the NQLF stability synthesis approach is developed in this paper to obtain relaxed stability conditions for T–S fuzzy models with multiplicative noises. Finally, some simulation examples are provided to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the proposed fuzzy controller design approach. 相似文献
