The inclusion of inclusive education in international development: Lessons from Papua New Guinea

A new ‘inclusive’ curriculum has been introduced in Papua New Guinea, with significant levels of support from a bilateral development agency. The curriculum is inclusive in the sense that it is designed to meet the diverse, complex, and ever-changing needs of students. Research indicates the curriculum has been shaped by various influences, most particularly Western educational ideology. Research in remote rural schools revealed that stakeholders were unable and unwilling to adopt many of the precepts of the new curriculum. Broader analysis indicates that this is likely to be the case elsewhere in PNG. In the light of these findings, it is proposed that international development agencies (IDAs), if they wish to effectively promote inclusive education, should become more ‘inclusive’ organisations – in the sense that they should adopt more responsive and participatory approaches in low income countries.  相似文献   

Intervención en estrategias de comprensión: un modelo basado en el conocimiento y aplicación de la estructura del texto

Resumen

En dos estudios complementarios se analizó la implantación y posterior evaluación de un programa de instrucción en alumnos con diferente grado de habilidad lectora. Este programa incidía básicamente en estrategias que requerían para su aplicación un conocimiento expreso sobre la estructura del texto. En un primer estudio, los 72 alumnos de 1.° de BUP que tomaron parte (36 con buen nivel y 36 con un pobre nivel de comprensión) se distribuyeron equitativamente en tres grupos: un grupo experimental y dos grupos control. A todos los grupos se aplicaron dos pruebas de recuerdo libre: inmediato y demorado (7 días). Los resultados indicaron una mejora sustantiva de los lectores que fueron entrenados en este programa respecto a sus compañeros homólogos de los grupos control, en la comprensión y recuerdo de la información relevante (macroestructura). En un segundo estudio, se evaluó el grado de transferencia de lo aprendido a situaciones nuevas. Los resultados indicaron que los sujetos entrenados en este programa experimental mostraron esta misma habilidad para organizar su recuerdo en textos cuya estructura organizativa no había sido previamente instruida.  相似文献   

Globalisation and higher education: from within-border to cross-border

Globalisation, the shift to a knowledge economy, and changing demographics are increasingly challenging higher education systems. The move from elite through mass to universal education, coupled with the internationalisation of higher education, has profoundly influenced the system, especially in terms of academic mobility. It has created new fields and challenges for policy-makers. New forms of international education have emerged, including cross-border education. Commercialised for-profit cross-border degree mills and rogue providers have gained new grounds and jeopardised the quality of higher education services and qualifications because of the worthless qualifications and shoddy service levels that they may provide. The focus of national quality assurance agencies, which was previously not related to the assessment of the quality of ‘imported’ and ‘exported’ programmes, has been challenged. This paper provides a theoretical overview of the main developments in the cross-border education level. It focuses on cross-border education opportunities and threats, and on the various international frameworks that regulate these new forms of higher education.  相似文献

戏曲评点在明代产生,《西厢记》是最早进入评点视野和现存评本最多的作品,堪为明代戏曲评点之代表。《西厢记》评点呈现出评点意图旨在娱情、评点方式渐趋系统、评点内容渐重叙事、评点美学重在求"真"等四个稳定的文学特征,表明戏曲评点在明代已经成熟,而这种成熟促使戏曲理论迅猛发展,戏曲文体也终得以独立于中国文体之林。  相似文献

互动式教学法是教育社会心理学研究的重要课题,它指师生关系在课堂情境中的具体化和现实化。针对当代大学生对课堂互动的要求,在文学类课程中采用学生讲述、课堂讨论、问答等形式结合多媒体等有效手段进行师生互动对教学起到积极效果,发挥了学生的主动性。互动式教学中情感性因素尤其是非言语手段在课堂上的使用也较为有效。  相似文献

论张爱玲小说的家族文化意蕴

张爱玲的小说表现了家族文化秩序下封建家长形象的失落与亲子关系的扭曲变形,宣告了家族体制在现代社会的衰落与解体。家族伦理与个人利益的矛盾、同居公财的生活方式、一夫多妻的畸形婚姻制度又造成了家族成员之间的矛盾与互相伤害。"家国同构"的社会透视方式则通过生活细节、价值观与时代风尚来表达世态人情、时事变迁。  相似文献

家庭伦理剧作为新时期崭新的文艺形式获得了大众的认可。近年以《蜗居》等为代表的伦理剧凸显了女性自我独立和女性话语的建构,这在一定程度上突破女性在男权社会被统治的形象。但是这一建构还远未完成,女性的反抗依然是在男权意识形态话语和符号式身体"被看"的范围内进行的。当代伦理剧未完成的女性主义批评却彰显了新时期女性生存困境与女性主义批评策略。  相似文献
