观察、参与、介入:教育学方法论的演变趋势

教育学的发展离不开对多种学科方法和思维方式的借鉴,本文从中国语境中教育学学科多元化发展中所形成三种学科立场,即教育学研究的角色定位出发,系统探讨了学科立场下所形成的理性观、世界观、知识观、真理观、语言表述、方法技术及思维方式等方面的方法论谱系,以求为各类教育学研究者,提供一个系统反思研究立场的参照系,进而为建构更加科学的本土教育学知识,提供确立教育学学术信念的基础性准则.  相似文献

In most multi-campus studies of college impact that have been conducted over the past four decades, investigators have relied on ordinary least squares (OLS) regression as the analytic method of choice. Recently, however, some investigators have advocated the use of Hierarchical Linear Modeling (HLM), a method specifically designed for analyses that involve both individual (student) and aggregate (institutional) level measures. Cross-validation analyses using a national database show that the two methods yield an equally good “fit” with empirical data. Existing OLS software has the advantage of enabling one to perform path analytical causal modeling; HLM has the advantage of yielding a more conservative estimate of the significance of institution-level effects.

Assessing Longitudinal Change: Adjustment for Regression to the Mean Effects

Pascarella (J Coll Stud Dev 47:508–520, 2006) has called for an increase in use of longitudinal data with pretest-posttest design when studying effects on college students. However, such designs that use multiple measures to document change are vulnerable to an important threat to internal validity, regression to the mean. Herein, we discuss a brief history of regression to the mean and illustrate a straightforward procedure to make adjustments to initial pretest scores for regression to the mean effects utilizing a method developed by Roberts (in: G. Echternacht (Guest ed.) New directions for testing and measurement, 1980). Analyses are shown with both unadjusted and adjusted pretest scores, illustrating dramatic differences in conclusions about whether students change across time.

人类生活的世界,一个是地球赋予的自然世界;一个是自己创造的社会世界^[1]。人地关系的核心表现为自然资源对社会经济发展的支撑和保障作用,以及社会经济发展对自然作用基础的压力和影响。目前由于我国资源利用和社会问题的层出不穷,迫切需要将社会学理论的原理、原则、观点及方法运用于对自然资源开发利用与保护的具体社会行为的研究,从而获得对社会利用自然资源的规律性的认识,并提出解决的方法。资源社会学包含有许多对社会学中层理论的提升和运用,又贴近于现实自然资源管理和社会生活实践,因而受到学术研究、政策研究和管理研究者的重视,成为资源科学学科建设和社会学学科建设的一个重要环节。本文尝试性提出资源社会学的研究对象、理论框架、方法论体系及其需要研究的重要领域,以供讨论和促进资源社会学分支学科的形成。  相似文献

In this theoretical paper, I present a short critical review of research on calibration. Based on this conceptual analysis I argue for two extensions of this construct: In addition to traditional applications, the methodology should be transferred to also measure calibration between students’ metacognitive control processes (traditionally, only students’ metacognitive judgments were considered) and important external criteria (traditionally, judgments were only compared to students’ own performance). As an illustrative example, one application context will be highlighted where these proposed extensions would alleviate potential problems with the traditional conceptualization: While students’ idiosyncratic task definitions constitute unwanted error variance in the traditional account it would be possible to investigate them as a primary research question within this extended notion. More specifically, it would be possible to investigate how well students’ learning processes match objective task demands. I will put forward theoretical and empirical arguments in favor of these suggestions.  相似文献
