In the United States, teachers’ job-related stress and self-efficacy levels across all grades are influenced in some manner by the demands of high-stakes testing. This sequential mixed-methods study aimed at examining the dynamics among assigned subject matter, teacher job-related stress, and teacher self-efficacy in a large south-eastern Texas school district. Quantitative data were collected via the High Stakes Testing on Self-Efficacy and Teacher Stress Survey from a convenience sample of 145 teachers, while qualitative data were gathered during focus-group sessions at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Findings indicated that assigned subject matter did not influence teacher self-efficacy, but did influence teachers’ job-related stress. Additionally, a relationship was found to exist between teacher job-related stress and teacher self-efficacy. Teachers reported lack of time, modifications to curriculum, and testing of special education populations as contributions to their job-related stress, and school leadership and educational triage as impacting their teacher self-efficacy. 相似文献

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) has become a standard non-parametric approach to productivity analysis, especially to relative efficiency analysis of decision making units (DMUs). Extended to the prediction field, it can solve the prediction problem with multiple inputs and outputs which can not be solved easily by the regression analysis method.But the traditional DEA models can not solve the problem with undesirable outputs,so in this paper the inherent relationship between goal programming and the DEA method based on the relationship between multiple goal programming and goal programming is explored,and a mixed DEA model which can make all factors of inputs and undesirable outputs decrease in different proportions is built.And at the same time,all the factors of desirable outputs increase in different proportions. 相似文献

Bearing Behaviors of Stiffened Deep Cement Mixed Pile 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A series of investigations were conducted to study the bearing capacity and load transfer mechanism of stiffened deep cement mixed (SDCM) pile. Laboratory tests including six specimens were conducted to investigate the frictional resistance between the concrete core and the cement soil. Two model piles and twenty-four full-scale piles were tested to examine the bearing behavior of single pile. Laboratory and model tests results indicate that the cohesive strength is large enough to ensure the interaction between core pile and the outer cement-soil. The full-scale test results show that the SDCM piles exhibit similar bearing behavior to bored and cast-in-place concrete piles. In general, with the rational composite structure the SDCM piles can transmit the applied load effectively, and due to the addition of the stiffer core, the SDCM piles possess high bearing capacity. Based on the findings of these experimental investigations and theoretical analysis, a practical design method is developed to predict the vertical bearing capacity of SDCM pile. 相似文献
