Wave attenuation properties of double trapezoidal submerged breakwaters on flat-bed

This paper investigates the wave attenuation properties of the double trapezoidal submerged breakwaters on the flat-bed by conducting physical experiments subjected to linear and cnoidal incident waves.The method of Goda’s two points is used to separate the heights of incident,reflected and transmitted waves based on the experimental data.The possible factors affecting the wave attenuation properties of the double trapezoidal submerged breakwaters(i.e.,the relative submerged water depth,relative breakwater spacing,wave steepness and relative wave height) are investigated with respect to the reflection and transmission coefficients.The results show that there is a range,within which the breakwater spacing has little impact on the reflection coefficient,and the transmission coefficient tends to be a constant.The influence of the wave steepness is reduced while the breakwater spacing is too large or too small.Within the range of the relative wave height tested in this study,the reflection and transmission coefficients increase and decrease with the relative wave height,respectively.The double trapezoidal submerged breakwaters model indicates a good attenuation effect for larger wave steepness,big relative wave height and within the range of the relative breakwater spacing between 12.5 and 14 according to linear and cnoidal waves.The changes of wave energy spectra between the double submerged breakwaters on the flat-bed are investigated by the fast Fourier transform(FFT) method,showing that wave energy dissipation can be reached more effectively when the relative breakwater spacing is 12.5.  相似文献

中西伦理思想在近代的冲突与交融

甲午战后,西方伦理思想纷至沓来。中西伦理由于异质异文,相互冲突与激荡。在激烈交锋中,中国传统伦理一点一滴地发生了近代转型,主要体现在以下方面:中西义利观的尖锐冲突,导致中国传统义利观的转型;三纲五常与自由平等的冲突,促成中国近代个人权利意识的生成;忠君报国与"国家"意识的较量,促成中国近代国家伦理的生成;圣人君子与自由平民的对垒,造成中国近代平民化人格的形成。这些新伦理的萌芽,标志着汲取了西方伦理精华的中国近代伦理已在中西文化互动中逐渐形成。  相似文献   

Understanding teacher knowledge from a Cultural Psychology approach

In this paper we propose a Cultural Psychology approach to teacher knowledge which assumes that: 1) mental representations are directly observable, and 2) the relationship between different kinds of representations is co-mediational. The paper sets out such an approach, providing arguments to support these two alternative premises; outlining a methodology, based on social linguistics, for the direct observation of representations; and articulating the relationship between three types of representations: situational representations, specific propositional representations, and general propositional representations. We discuss the implications of this approach for research and practice in teacher education.  相似文献

In many states, the rapidly increasing number of English language learners (ELLs) presents new challenges for undergraduate education programs. In addition, because areas with the most rapid growth generally have little history of educating the ELL population, there may be a corresponding lack of understanding of and empathy for ELLs. The author describes a language shock class that develops empathy for ELLs among preservice teachers, develops strategies for teaching ELLs, and promotes understanding of second language acquisition. Analysis of preservice teachers' reactions to the shock class helped them brainstorm strategies for working effectively with ELLs.  相似文献   

Gain-scheduled control of PVTOL aircraft dynamics with parameter-dependent disturbance

This paper presents a gain-scheduled control approach for the vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The non-linear aircraft dynamics are formulated as a linear parameter varying (LPV) system with external parameter-dependent disturbance, which arisen from the equilibrating between gravity force and nozzles thrust. The disturbance is dependent on the system varying parameter, roll angle, and a constant parameter denoting the normalized gravity force. The controllers are designed in terms of mixed optimization of H^∞ performance for disturbance attenuation and relative stability for tracking position command in pitch-yaw plane. The characteristics of the parameter-dependent disturbance are described by an equality condition with a defined annihilation matrix. By exploring the parameter-dependence condition on disturbance into the controller design algorithms based on linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), it is showed that a better performance can be achieved than simply considering it as an external disturbance. The design results are demonstrated by time response simulations.  相似文献
