医学期刊中部分拉丁语的规范编排

拉丁语与医学关系密切,大部分医学术语主要源自拉丁语。一些编辑对拉丁语在医学中的应用了解甚少,例如:不清楚拉丁学名的命名原则,导致对其在医学期刊中的大小写、正斜体不分;此外,还会犯语法方面的错误,如将拉丁名词的单复数混淆,等等。因此,本文对拉丁语在医学中的应用及其在医学期刊中常见的错误作一简述。  相似文献

The Slavic Humanities Index: A New Electronic Tool for Scholarly Research in the Field of Central,Eastern, and Southeastern European Studies

In this article, the author discusses the creation of an electronic index of scholarly Slavic periodicals in the humanities, which will launch in early 2012. The aim of this project is to create a standard electronic reference tool in the field of Central, Eastern, and Southeastern European Studies, which will help professors, students, and researchers. The index contains important scholarly journals from Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine. Indexing begins with 1994 issues and is ongoing. In the future, significant retrospective journals will be indexed in order to improve the tool's research capabilities. The index contains not only articles, but also all book reviews and information on conferences, workshops, organizations, and foundations. The index currently contains citations of over 125,000 articles from more than 143 Slavic journals in the humanities. The use of the Library of Congress transliteration scheme and subject headings will assist users to perform effective searches.  相似文献

Tracking the History of Romani Publications: Challenges Presented by Flawed Data

Romani is a language of northern Indic origin spoken natively by an estimated 2.5 million people, primarily in Eurasia but also in North America. The history of publication patterns in Romani has not been well documented. Extracting data about this history based on available information in large bibliographic databases such as OCLC WorldCat has been hampered by unfortunate misapplication of certain language codes, making it all but impossible to filter search results efficiently using Romani language as a parameter. The author discusses how he was able to correct much of this inaccurate data in OCLC WorldCat.  相似文献

The article examines the most important periodicals of ethnic minorities in Poland. After 1989, many ethnic groups (e.g., Germans and Romanies) were allowed to publish journals and newspapers for the first time since the end of World War II. The publications examined show the rich cultural life of the various ethnic groups as well as their current status in Poland.
