Virtual Microscopy as a Learning Tool in Brazilian Medical Education

Virtual microscopy (VM) is a widely used teaching method in Medical Education in many developed countries. In Brazil, however, this is not the case for most medical schools, considering Brazilian social inequality and uneven access to technology. Recently, the Covid-19 pandemic has also challenged Universities to seek and make a transition toward more effective methods of full-time online education. Thus, the main goal of this work was to verify student's perception and academic performance, assessed upon VM implementation in a Brazilian Medical School. Ribeirao Preto Medical School students answered a 26-question survey with regards to optical microscopy (OM) and VM. Academic performance was compared between participants that were (year of 2019) or were not (year of 2015) exposed to VM. Taken the results together, subjective impressions such as handling, suitability, learning effectiveness, and pleasure using the tools, have shown a higher score for virtual microscopy (median = 29), when compared to optical microscopy (median = 24) with a P-value < 0.001 by Wilcoxon rank test, upon measurement using an ordinal scale. Regarding academic performance, no statistically significant differences were found between groups (P-value = 0.38, Cohen's d = 0.19). Therefore, VM proved to be adequate to the Brazilian medical education in light of Brazilian social contexts and Covid-19 pandemic.  相似文献

在机关、企业、学校的礼仪教育中忽视了一个重要环节，就是文明社区建设中的礼仪教育和规范。社区成员的言行规范直接反映着该社区乃至该城市的文明程度高低。走向世界的中国人应有哪些涵养，应掌握哪些礼仪规范，应引起各级组织和各界人士的高度重视。礼仪与文明都属于文化现象，这是构成社会主义精神文明的基本要素，它可以从社会的角度陶冶社会成员的心灵，规范社区居民的行为，培养高尚的审美情趣。用礼仪教育来营造良好的社会秩序和社会风气，用礼仪文化促进文明社区的发展，是提升文明社区形象的一大举措。  相似文献

Moving beyond the anthropos and reclaiming the geo in intercultural communication: The transculturation of the martial art practice of Aikido

This ethnographic study examines the practice of Aikido, a martial art style originating from Japan, by a community of non-Japanese practitioners in the southwestern region of the United States. This paper recounts the second nature-making of the art's skillful responsiveness as a thing to be explained from the ground, rather than leaving its cultural dynamics and their appropriative relations unchallenged as a relatively homogenous process of globalization and increased contact. In the case of Shining Energy (a pseudonym), the “taking” of another's cultural elements and “making” it a fully habituated and naturalized way of moving and being (second nature) are predicated on geo-making, the production of ontologizing resources (first nature) that enable culturally sanctioned modes of somatic engagements with the world. The process of appropriating Aikido entails an inversion between the figure and ground that foregrounds the geo-making of the ground/field for activity itself.  相似文献

[目的/意义] 学科主题演化研究有助于掌握学科发展现状、研究热点、研究前沿和发展趋势等情况,是进行科技创新的基础,是面向科技创新的重要研究方向。[方法/过程] 提出一种语义分类的学科主题演化分析方法：将关键词分为研究问题、研究方法和研究技术3类,构建不同语义分类的共词网络;然后基于Fast Unfolding社区发现算法识别具有语义特征的社区（主题）;利用相似度算法计算相邻子时期主题间的相似度,构建学科主题演化图谱,以分析某学科领域研究问题、研究方法和研究技术的变化,实现深度、细致的学科主题演化分析。[结果/结论] 通过对2012-2015年CNKI数据库收录的我国大数据研究领域相关论文数据的处理分析,证明该方法的准确性和有效性。  相似文献

运用文献资料法、问卷调查法、数理统计法等,对武汉市社区居家养老服务中心的体育服务需求与供给现状进行研究。研究表明:社区老年人有较强的参与体育活动愿望,且参与体育活动在时段选择、时间长度、时间频率、活动强度等方面有着自身的规律;而养老服务中心的体育服务在场地设施、健身指导、信息宣传等方面与老年人的需求存在差距。建议:社会转型期的社区居家养老服务中的体育服务应做到体育服务供给主体多元化、体育服务内容多样化、体育服务人员专业化、体育志愿服务常态化。  相似文献
