The morphology of the microstructure of Al-alloy composite with variousfiber contents was examined under optical microscope.The fracture of tension specimenwas studied under scanning electron microscope(SEM).The mechanical properties,wearresistance and coefficient of thermal linear expansion of the composite were measured.Theexperiment shows that the composite studied is suitable for engine pistons due to its goodwear resistance,higher elevated temperature mechanical properties and lower coefficient ofthermal linear expansion.  相似文献

Bi/MnBi eutectic in situ composite was produced by unidirectional solid-ification technique.The eutectic has a quasi-regular structure,in which the MnBi fi-bre is V-shaped in cross section and rod-like in longitudinal section,the aspect ratio isabout 300.The formation mechanism of this V-shaped MnBi phase was studied bycrystallographic analysis.The conclusion is that the(1120)face is the closest packedone while the(1010)face is the next.  相似文献
