图书馆信息服务与科技论文质量的相关性研究   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
通过对中瑞两国医学论文引文数量、时间以及被引次数的分析,量化说明中国科技论文与发达国家相比存在的质量差距。认为中国医学论文依据的信息不足,所提供信息量少,利用信息时间滞后,从而影响到科研论文的可信度和新颖性,使论文的可利用价值低。分析形成的原因,指出图书馆信息保障能力影响着科技论文质量和创新。  相似文献

通过对中瑞两国医学论文引文数量和时间的比较,以及对非英语国家发表论文的被引次数、期刊影响因子及国际排名的比较,发现中国科技论文与发达国家相比,确实存在着可以量化的差距:课题研究依据的信息和论文提供的信息量少,引用信息时间滞后,从而影响到科研论文的可信度和新颖性。质量差距是我国科技论文被引率低的真正原因。  相似文献

Focusing on the situation of Åbo Akademi University, a Swedish-language higher education institution in bilingual Finland, this article discusses the problems of operating higher education institutions in two or three languages in a country in which 11 percent of the population are Swedish speakers and 89 percent are Finnish speakers, with many who are bilingual. Finland has two monolingual Swedish-language universities plus a monolingual School attached to the bilingual University of Helsinki. In addition to the latter, five other institutions, four of them highly specialized, are bilingual. The remaining institutions are monolingual, operating in Finnish. Most of the Finnish higher education institutions are increasingly offering programmes in English. Institutions offering courses in Swedish co-operate among themselves in the provision of full course programmes. The three universities in Turku, where Åbo Akademi University is located, co-operate in offering joint programmes requiring students to work in Swedish, Finnish, and English. Although multilingualism works well in Finland with a minimum of friction, the author concludes that a monolingual university, if affordable, is the best safeguard for minority linguistic rights.  相似文献

The Swedish curriculum for the nine-year compulsory school prescribes that the teacher shall work in an investigative way with everyday phenomena. This can be interpreted as working with simple experiments using common materials, and presupposes that teachers themselves have a good and reflected comprehension of the phenomena illustrated. In order to study the ability of our teacher students to explain everyday phenomena, we chose to ask all the students in the fourth term about phenomena where transformations of matter are involved. The students were requested to give their answers in writing and as detailed as possible. The answers have been analysed in different ways. We have categorised them and studied whether there are any systematic patterns between individuah. A very general conclusion is that there is a great need in teacher training to work with conceptual understanding and with ways of expressing oneself as a teacher.  相似文献

Electronic portfolios (E-portfolios) are crucial means for workplace-based assessment and feedback. Although E-portfolios provide a useful approach to view each learner’s progress, so far options for personalized feedback and potential data about a learner’s performances at the workplace often remain unexploited. This paper advocates that E-portfolios enhanced with learning analytics, might increase the quality and efficiency of workplace-based feedback and assessment in professional education. Based on a 5-phased iterative design approach, an existing E-portfolio environment was enhanced with learning analytics in professional education. First, information about crucial professional activities for professional domains and suited assessment instruments were collected (phase 1). Thereafter probabilistic student models were defined (phase 2). Next, personalized feedback and visualization of the personal development over time were developed (phase 3). Then the prototype of the E-portfolio—including the student models and feedback and visualization modules—were implemented in professional training-programs (phase 4). Last, evaluation cycles took place and 121 students and 30 supervisors from five institutes for professional education evaluated the perceived usefulness of the design (phase 5). It was concluded that E-portfolios with learning analytics were perceived to assist the development of students’ professional competencies and that the design is only successful when developed and implemented through the eyes of the users. Feedback and assessment methods based upon learning analytics can stimulate learning at the workplace in the long run. Practical, technological and ethical challenges are discussed.  相似文献

In this study direct citations are weighted with shared references and co-citations in an attempt to decompose a citation network of articles on the subject of library and information science. The resulting maps have much in common with author co-citation maps that have been previously presented. However, using direct citations yields somewhat more detail in terms of detecting sub-domains. Reducing the network down to the strongest links of each article yielded the best results in terms of a high number of clusters, each with a substantial number of articles similar in content.  相似文献

The purpose of the present study was to investigate if we could improve retention by redesigning an online programming course from a gender perspective, while maintaining the focus on preferable and sustainable learning approaches. The study builds on results from an earlier study that investigated the relationship between approaches to learning and course completion and involves 1067 students that responded to the short version of the Approaches and Study Skills Inventory for Students (ASSIST) in 2010, 2012 and 2013. Three principles for course material design were identified; gender neutral and non-biased messages, emphasize the interdisciplinary approach and link to everyday examples. Responses to ASSIST were analysed in relation to performed changes in the course literature from a gender perspective. The probability to complete the course increased with 7% points for all students, in particular for men, and decreased for students with a high score in surface approach to learning, especially among women.  相似文献

This essay discusses the ways in which `Mode 1' and `Mode 2' interact, by reviewing the development of research funding in Sweden during the twentieth century. It argues that `Mode 2' has been the traditional mode of practice. `Mode 1' is a post-war phenomenon, but it is presently the dominant layer of Swedish publicly-funded science and science policy. This essay argues that we are seeing not an increase in uncertainty, but rather a decreasing tolerance of uncertainty.  相似文献
