Allergenic/antigenic proteins are known to induce Type I and Type III hypersensitivity reactions leading to allergic bronchopulmonary
aspergillosis (ABPA) in immunocompetent host. The common structural features or intrinsic properties of the allergens/antigens
leading to allergenicity in a host are not well understood. In the current report, comparative analysis of proteins on two
dimensional gel electrophoresis (2D-3) and specific IgE immunoblots ofA. fumigatus secretory proteins (1st, 2nd and 3rd week culture filtrate proteins) was carried out. We observed a total of 159 proteins in 1st, 2nd and 3rd week culture filtrates ofA. fumigatus. Specific IgE immunoreactivity was observed in 75 proteins with different intensity. Third week culture filtrate showed maximum
number of proteins, 142, and specific IgE immunoreactive proteins, 65. MALDI-TOF analysis resulted in putative identification
of two allergens as hypothetical protein YBL057c fromSaccharomyces cereviseae and unnamed protein product fromDebaryomyces hansenii (similar to IPF14568 ofCandida albicans). Identification of a repertoire of specific IgE immunoreactive proteins will facilitate the studies on structure-function
relationship of these proteins relevant for diagnosis and pathogenesis. 相似文献

The medical, agricultural and biotechnological importance of the primitive eukaryotic microorganisms, the Fungi was recognized
way back in 1920. Among various groups of fungi, the Aspergillus species are studied in great detail using advances in genomics and proteomics to unravel biological and molecular mechanisms
in these fungi. Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus parasiticus, Aspergillus nidulans and Aspergillus terreus are some of the important species relevant to human, agricultural and biotechnological applications. The potential of Aspergillus species to produce highly diversified complex biomolecules such as multifunctional proteins (allergens, antigens, enzymes)
and polyketides is fascinating and demands greater insight into the understanding of these fungal species for application
to human health. Recently a regulator gene for secondary metabolites, LaeA has been identified. Gene mining based on LaeA
has facilitated new metabolites with antimicrobial activity such as emericellamides and antitumor activity such as terrequinone
A from A. nidulans. Immunoproteomic approach was reported for identification of few novel allergens for A. fumigatus. In this context, the review is focused on recent developments in allergens, antigens, structural and functional diversity
of the polyketide synthases that produce polyketides of pharmaceutical and biological importance. Possible antifungal drug
targets for development of effective antifungal drugs and new strategies for development of molecular diagnostics are considered. 相似文献

The characteristic X-rays coming out from an unknown sample due to the irradiation of gamma rays or X-ray photons or due to
the bombardment of high velocity protons are used for elemental analysis in a sample. We describe here two techniques viz.,
Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) and Proton Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) which have the capability of nondestructive
and multi-elemental analysis of the sample.

Environmental occurrence of Aspergillus and other fungal spores are hazardous to humans and animals. They cause a broad spectrum of clinical complications. Contamination of aflatoxins in agri-food and feed due to A. flavus and A. parasiticus result in toxicity in humans and animals. Recent advances in aspergillus genomics and aflatoxin management practices are encouraging to tackle the challenges posed by important aspergillus species. 相似文献

With the explosion of multilingual content on Web, particularly in social media platforms, identification of languages present in the text is becoming an important task for various applications. While automatic language identification (ALI) in social media text is considered to be a non-trivial task due to the presence of slang words, misspellings, creative spellings and special elements such as hashtags, user mentions etc., ALI in multilingual environment becomes even more challenging task. In a highly multilingual society, code-mixing without affecting the underlying language sense has become a natural phenomenon. In such a dynamic environment, conversational text alone often fails to identify the underlying languages present in the text. This paper proposes various methods of exploiting social conversational features for enhancing ALI performance. Although social conversational features for ALI have been explored previously using methods like probabilistic language modeling, these models often fail to address issues related to code-mixing, phonetic typing, out-of-vocabulary etc. which are prevalent in a highly multilingual environment. This paper differs in the way the social conversational features are used to propose text refinement strategies that are suitable for ALI in highly multilingual environment. The contributions in this paper therefore includes the following. First, this paper analyzes the characteristics of various social conversational features by exploiting language usage patterns. Second, various methods of text refinement suitable for language identification are proposed. Third, the effects of the proposed refinement methods are investigated using various sentence level language identification frameworks. From various experimental observations over three conversational datasets collected from Facebook, Youtube and Twitter social media platforms, it is evident that our proposed method of ALI using social conversational features outperforms the baseline counterparts. 相似文献
