以1999-2003年生物技术学科期刊文献分布曲线为依据,利用知识密度梯度graduR(n)的概念,对知识场中文献分布特征进行分析。结果表明,在任何一个学科的知识场中,集中区文献分布呈间断性变化,离散区文献分布呈连续性变化,从而构成期刊文献分布的基本特征。基于此,指出期刊文献分布特征研究是对文献分布规律的进一步描述。 相似文献

Medical librarians typically contribute to patient care from the confines of the library in response to practitioners' requests for literature searches, information pearls, and evidence-based information. While this model has long served the needs of active clinicians, the learning environment of residency programs is ripe for innovative librarian involvement. This paper illustrates how the librarian can become part of a clinical team outside of the library and provide real-time reference services while teaching by example. Benefits of the alliance include the integration of disciplines to provide enhanced resident learning and improved patient care. 相似文献

Serving a hospital-based educational program such as the School of Enterostomal Therapy (E.T.) provides the opportunity to teach library skills and expand library services to meet the needs of a growing specialty. This article includes: a synopsis of the E.T. educational program, a history of the specialty, and an explanation of the separate library services provided to students and faculty. The libraries of the Capital Health System and York Hospital have been given the responsibility for collecting and maintaining the archival materials of their respective institutions. After an initial evaluation of donated items, each library researched methods of archival conservation, adapting them to their individual needs. Included in this article is an overview of these methods with many examples from the authors' experiences.
