随着中国经济与文化地位的崛起,越来越多的美国年轻一代开始迫切地想要了解中国,中国文学的教学也越来越被重视起来。作为中国最伟大的爱国主义"代表诗人"的一部力作,《离骚》自然应被纳入教材之列,尤其是作为非华裔人士的翻译教材。本文以德国哲学家瓦尔特.本雅明(Walter Benjamin)的文学及历史理论作为方法论,侧重研究本雅明文本"重生"理论对《离骚》翻译的适用。朱熹版《离骚》注本充分结合了译者的历史语境,是该诗"来世"的重要组成部分,它不仅对当代《离骚》注释有着不可小觑的启示作用,更自成一家,成为《离骚》来世的典范之一。  相似文献

In this paper I argue that artists/activists in India use Bollywood dance and songs to choreograph flash mob performances with the aim of addressing issues of public importance because Bollywood is a common performative site that can be used to mobilize people. In order to understand how Bollywood based dance flash mobs have civic potential for activists-cum-performers, I conducted in-depth interviews with 20 flash mob choreographers in four cities of India. Based on my findings, I suggest that Bollywood based dance flash mobs are identified by the urban youth as inherently political and democratic in nature. These performances are often accompanied with the organizer-generated subgenre of flash mob videos recorded for the online audience. In archiving these performances, organizers also enable a virtual network of connections where individuals who share the same civic aspirations can come together and build solidarity around the cause.  相似文献

"继续生存"是德里达翻译思想中的一个核心概念.多数学者把它等同于沃尔特·本雅明的"以后生存".其实, "继续生存"体现的是一种断裂和连续的结合体,是断裂的连续.而本雅明的"以后生存"体现的则是原文和译文之间的断裂."继续生存"虽然缘自于"以后生存",但决不是它的简单复制,而是它的某种意义上的继续生存.此外,在"继续生存"中体现出的原文和译文的关系是一种独立中的联系,或断裂中的连续关系.有些学者认为在解构主义译论中译文和原文无相似性的观点是值得商榷的.德里达的思维方式就是 "继续生存"表现出来的既不也不、非此非彼的"困境"式思维方式.  相似文献

This paper explores the relationship between the original and its translation by interpreting Benjamin’s three metaphors from his The Translator’s Task. The exploration starts with the metaphor of“the tangent of a circle”,where it is interpreted that although the translated version should be faithful to its original in terms of meaning,yet it is a deviation due to different internal and external factors. Then,in the metaphor of“afterlife”,the discussion demonstrates that the translated version proceeds from the original,but the original depends on it for its survival and afterlife in different eras. Later,based on the metaphor of“fragments of a vessel”,the author states that the original and its translation are equal and complementary,just like the fragments of a vessel,responsible for the development and renewal of each other through translation. Finally,it is concluded that a better understanding of their relationship can offer us a new perspective in translation studies and practice.  相似文献
