The level of serum cholesterol (Ch), serum-high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDLc), serum-low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLc), serum very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDLc), Triglyceride (Tg), Apolipoprotein A-1, B and ratio of Apolipoprotein A1/B were observed in 151 survivors of myocardial infarction in different age groups. A significant increase was found in the level of triglyceride, LDLc, apolipoprotein-B and a significant decrease in apolipoprotein-A1 and the ratio of apolipoprotein A1/B. No significant alteration was found in serum cholesterol, HDLc except in the age group of 31–40 years and 41–50 years and VLDLc. Thus, serum Apo A-1 and Apo-B may be considerably better markers for coronary artery disease than traditional lipid parameters.  相似文献

Serum vitamin E and cholesterol concentrations were measured in 50 children with protein energy malnutrition (PEM) and results were compared with a group of 50 normal controls. Mean serum vitamin E concentration as well as vitamin E/cholesterol ratio were found to be reduced in children with PEM while their mean serum cholesterol level was not significantly different from the control group. Data suggest that the reduced levels of serum vitamin E in PEM may be a result of malnutrition per se.  相似文献

壳聚糖对乳房炎奶牛血清胆固醇、尿酸和肌酐的影响   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
为确定壳聚糖对奶牛乳房炎的治疗效果,选择产奶量、胎次和泌乳期相近,营养中等,乳房炎阴性奶牛6头,阳性30头,组成0(阴性对照组)、1(阳性对照组)和2、3、4、5组(试验组),每组6头.各组基础日粮和饲养管理相同.分别在基础日粮中添加壳聚糖0g、0g、10g、20g、40g和80g/d/头.连续喂养2周,分别与试验的0d、7d、14d采取血样,分离血清,测定血清中胆固醇、尿酸和肌酐的含量.结果:应用壳聚糖7~14d后,2、3、4、5组奶牛血清胆固醇含量均数有随壳聚糖用量的增加而降低的趋势,但差异不显著(P﹥0.05);血清尿酸和肌酐水平显著(P﹤0.05)或极显著(P﹤0.01)地降低.结论:壳聚糖具有加快乳房炎患牛机体对尿酸和肌酐排泄的功能,提高机体对炎症的抵抗力,促进机体的康复过程.  相似文献

随机选取32~36周龄罗曼褐鸡、闽中麻鸡、淮南鸡三种健康鸡的新鲜鸡蛋各30枚,测定不同品种鸡蛋中胆固醇的含量及其常规营养成分,比较研究品种对胆固醇含量的影响。试验结果表明,不同品种鸡蛋中胆固醇含量差异显著,其中每克蛋黄胆固醇含量以淮南鸡最高,为16.32 mg,比罗曼褐鸡高24.20% (P<0.05),比闽中麻鸡高3.95%(P>0.05);每枚鸡蛋胆回醇含量以闽中麻鸡最高,为241.31g,比罗曼褐鸡高9.18%(P<0.05),比淮南鸡高5.99%(P>0.05)。不同品种对鸡蛋中其他常规营养成分的影响不明显。  相似文献

Overnight fasting samples of 1,031 apparently healthy people of Punjab visiting the hospital over a period of 3 years were tested for serum lipid profile. The mean ± SD of serum total cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and very low density lipoprotein cholesterol in mg/dl were 182.2 ± 33.9, 122.4 ± 33.4, 44.1 ± 6.8, 113.9 ± 32.0, 24.6 ± 7.1 respectively. When these subjects were grouped according to age and sex, no appreciable difference was observed between most of the groups. Serum triglycerides were found to be low and HDL-C was high in females when compared with males of similar age and vice versa. With advancing age, total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels were found to be higher in women. The present study suggests that the obtained lipid values should be taken into consideration during clinical evaluation.  相似文献

In this study it was planned to investigate the effect of oxidized phosphatidylcholine (derived from egg) feeding on lipid peroxidation of different tissues in rats. Male Wistar albino rats were fed oxidized and unoxidized phosphatidylcholine for 2 and 4 weeks, respectively. During the period of study food intake and body weights of animals increased gradually. Animals fed oxidized phosphatidylcholine for 2 and 4 weeks showed 33 and 15% spontaneous hemolysis of red blood cells in vitro. Under identical experimental conditions animals given unoxidized phosphatidylcholine showed 14.5 and 13.4% hemolysis for 2 and 4 week’s period, respectively. Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) level in thymus, spleen, kidney, heart, liver and lung significantly increased in rats given oxidized phosphatidylcholine as compared to unoxidized group. Furthermore, in oxidized phosphatidylcholine group TBARS values in kidney, liver and lungs continued to rise for 4 weeks of treatment while TBARS level in heart, spleen and thymus was found to be decreased at the end of 4 weeks of oxidized phosphatidylcholine feeding. Plasma triacylglycerol and cholesterol was found to increase in rats who had received oxidized phosphatidylcholine for 2 weeks. These findings suggest that excess and persistent intake of oxidized phosphatidylcholine can cause significant damage to organs.  相似文献

A total of 41 healthy male pesticide sprayers exposed to different clases of pesticides for 3-5 years were compared with 21 controls matched for age and economic status with respect to free radical generation, lipid peroxidation, antioxidant status, cholesterol, lipoprotein status and haematological profile. Plasma lipid peroxidation was estimated in the form of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) produced. Significant increase in TBARS was observed in sprayers population when compared with control subjects and the level of TBARS increased with increase in the duration of exposure. The levels of antioxidants such as glutathione (GSH) were significantly depleted, whereas those of superoxide dismutase (SOD) were remarkably increased than control population. Significant reduction in total cholesetrol, alteration in lipoprotein fractions and nonsignificant changes in hematological parameters were observed. These results suggested that exposure to pesticidal residual drift augments the free radical generation, and lipid peroxidation. Decline in non-enzymatic antioxidant and elevation of enzymatic antioxidant were observed. Supplementation of α-tocopherol for 45 days resulted in the partial restoration of these biochemical changes produced by pesticides.  相似文献
