Iris recognition,as a biometric method,outperforms others because of its high accuracy. Iris is the visible internal organ of human,so it is stable and very difficult to be altered. But if an eye surgery must be made to some individuals,it may be rejected by iris recognition system as imposters after the surgery,because the iris pattern was altered or damaged somewhat during surgery and cannot match the iris template stored before the surgery. In this paper,we originally discuss whether refractive surgery for vision correction(LASIK surgery) would influence the performance of iris recognition. And experiments are designed and tested on iris images captured especially for this research from patients before and after refractive surgery. Experiments showed that refractive surgery has little influence on iris recognition. 相似文献

虹膜识别中,图像质量除受到采集设备、环境光照、目标位置、目标状态等因素影响外,错误的图像分割也会导致图像质量下降,因此单一量度或较少量度都不能准确评价用于匹配计算的虹膜图像质量.基于此设计了可用虹膜区、虹膜大小、清晰度、扩张度等八个评价因子;研究了各评价因子所表征的图像质量特性;提出了利用图像分割参数计算各评价因子的方法;根据实验得到的各评价因子阈值以及图像分割可能的错误,对质量评价因子进行校准;最后融合校准后的因子形成虹膜图像质量评价值.实验结果显示所提出的方法可有效评价虹膜图像质量. 相似文献

This paper builds on Iris Young's work to argue that social justice in education has to be understood in relation to particular contexts of enactment. More specifically, the author argues that it is not possible to make cross‐national or other comparative assessments of social justice without consideration of the ways in which justice is enacted in practice. The contextualized approach to justice that the author is advocating involves: first a recognition of the multi‐dimensional nature of justice and the potential for conflict between different facets of justice; second, attention to the ways in which concerns of justice are mediated by the other norms and constraints that motivate actors; and third, a consideration of the way in which contradictions between different facets of justice and these other norms and between justice concerns and the constraints that compete with justice are differentially shaped by the levels and settings in which the actors are operating. This contextualized approach is illustrated using an interview with one mother's encounters with the English education system. 相似文献

ABSTRACTWhen Iris Chang published The Rape of Nanking in 1997, exactly sixty years after the Nanjing Massacre, the subtitle The Forgotten Holocaust of World War II, called attention to one of the greatest human tragedies in the twentieth century. As a powerful historic reminder, The Rape of Nanking aims “to understand the event so that lessons can be learned and warnings sounded.” This paper focuses on Chang’s role as a writer/fighter who uses words to fight forgetfulness with a forceful narrative concerning one of the most dreadful traumas in the collective psyche of the Chinese people. It produces quite a number of “afterlives,” including different Chinese translations in Taiwan and mainland China, a nanking winter (2008), a play by the second-generation Chinese Canadian playwright Marjorie Chan, Nanjing Requiem (2011), a novel by the first-generation Chinese American novelist Ha Jin, and The Nanjing Massacre: Poems (2013), a collection of poems by the third-generation Chinese Hawaiian poet Wing Tek Lum. Furthermore, the docudrama Iris Chang: The Rape of Nanking (2007), directed by Bill Spahic and Anne Pick, presents a filmic representation of the short fascinating life of this passionate writer. This paper discusses how Chang, role as a writer and activist, fights against amnesia with remembrance as well as her rich legacy to the world across linguistic, generic, and semiotic boundaries. Chang’s text and its afterlives strive to give voice to those nameless war victims as a step towards truth, justice, reconciliation, and peace. 相似文献

在虹膜识别系统中,虹膜图像的质量是影响识别效果的一个重要因素,在对现有虹膜图像质量评价算法分析的基础上,针对引起“注册失败”的最主要的几个因素,建立了一种综合的虹膜质量评价模块。实验表明,该方法的虹膜质量综合评价因子对虹膜图像的质量评价结果符合主观评价方法的评价结果。 相似文献
