ABSTRACTThis forum brings together food, (in)security, and communication. The authors participating in this forum center communication as both process and tool for understanding, mitigating, and making meaning of food (in)security. The nine authors together discuss the role of communication in food (in)security, the central challenges for scholars and practitioners working on food (in)security, and the creative possibilities and impacts influencing the future of food (in)security. The forum produces a call for applied scholars to re-imagine communication frameworks in order to make meaningful differences in their communities. 相似文献

This paper studies the online forum posts at the websites of Amazon and Goodreads of two books on Zheng He’s voyages. The findings are threefold: First, most of the online forum participants play their due roles and satisfy the six conditions of Dahlberg’s model of an ideal online public sphere. Second, the emerged themes match the six conditions of Dahlberg’s model. The readers’ reviews at the two Western social media websites are mostly positive and rational. A new field of research has developed over the last few decades, called ‘Deliberative Communication’. It focuses on the potential contribution of public deliberations to strengthening the foundations of democracy and the promotion of social–political goals and objectives. The current research focuses on a unique case study, the ‘Deliberation Forum’ project, conducted by the Department of Communication at the Yezreel Valley College, Israel. The researcher sought to learn about students' experience of participating in this online forum and the effects they attributed to it, through unstructured interviews she held with them. The students indicated that, for the most part, the experience of participating in the deliberation forum was very positive: it enhanced their self-image as thinking people; strengthened their sense of self-importance as students within the department; developed and reinforced habits of keeping abreast of current affairs as well as critical thinking; and finally, the experience developed and strengthened habits of active participation in pluralistic debates. The study findings indicate that participation in projects of this kind has a clear empowerment potential, while also improving participants' attitude toward public deliberation and decision-making processes. 相似文献

提出构建赣南客家民俗体育信息网络平台的设想,分析了目前赣南客家民俗体育文化遗产的结构框架,尝试应用计算机图形图像技术、网络技术、数据库技术、多媒体技术和虚拟现实技术等手段,对赣南民俗体育文化遗产,如民俗体育运动项目、民俗体育文物、民俗体育教育和民俗体育文化习俗等内容进行数字化保存与存档,将民俗体育活动的数字化仿真、对民俗体育文物的数字化复原、对民俗体育文化遗产的数字化进行展示等。目的是将赣南客家民俗体育文化以最形象、最直观的方式展现给大家。 相似文献

本研究从某大学网络教育学院抽取三门课程做为研究对象,借助探究社区模型及编码体系,从社会性存在、认知性存在和教学性存在三方面来考量其网上教学交互过程。研究发现:课程论坛上社会性存在、教学性存在和认知性存在的水平均较低,教学过程无结构化,学生言论缺乏批判性的思考和批判性的对话,缺乏群体的互动等。建议重视论坛活动的设计与监督,提高教学性存在,掌握“有限存在”以平衡教学过程中抑制和存在之间的关系,重视触发事件的设置,努力使学生从独立学习向协作学习转变。 相似文献

[目的/意义]大规模在线开放课程论坛具有丰富的用户评论数据。从大量未区分的评论数据中,自动识别出知识密度较高的探索型对话并挖掘其潜在价值,对于改善教师教学质量以及提高学生知识水平具有重要影响。[方法/过程]首先利用GloVe方法训练词向量,加强对文本语义的理解,然后利用卷积神经网络自动学习文本特征,提出一种基于深度学习的探索型对话自动识别模型,并在学堂在线平台《心理学概论》课程论坛标注数据集上进行实证与对比研究。[结果/结论]实验结果显示,利用GloVe方法预训练词向量以及在训练过程中不断对词向量进行学习修正能够提高模型效果。该模型识别探索型对话的F1值为0.94,相较于传统的朴素贝叶斯方法(0.88)、逻辑斯谛回归方法(0.89)、决策树方法(0.88)以及随机森林方法(0.88)取得较大提升,具有较高的实用性和较低的学习成本。 相似文献
