Identifying the combinations of motivations and emotions for creating satisfied users in SNSs: An fsQCA approach

Social Networking Sites (SNSs) play an important role in our daily lives and the number of their users increases regularly. To understand how users can be satisfied in the complex digital environment of SNSs, this study examines how motivations and emotions combine with each other to explain high satisfaction. Users’ motivations comprise four attributes, entertainment, information, social-psychological, and convenience. Emotions are divided into their two main categories, that is positive and negative emotions. We draw on complexity and configuration theories, present a conceptual model along with propositions and perform a fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA). Through an empirically study with 582 SNSs users, we present eight combinations (configurations) of motivations and emotions that lead to high satisfaction, which highlight the role of high convenience, followed by entertainment and information motivations in being satisfied with SNSs. High satisfaction can be achieved both when positive and negative emotions are high and low, depending on how they combine users’ motivations. None of the factors are indispensable to explain high satisfaction on their own, instead they are insufficient but necessary parts of the causal combinations that explain high satisfaction. This study contributes in SNSs literature by extending current knowledge on how motivations and emotions combine to increase satisfaction, and by identifying specific patterns of users for whom these factors are important and influence greatly their satisfaction.  相似文献

基于多源数据的中国UNESCO名录遗产地 可持续发展目标监测

SDG11.4.1将保护世界遗产的“保护支出”作为评价遗产可持续发展目标的指标,其处于有方法无数据的状态,亟需具体数据和测算案例支持。利用48处中国UNESCO名录遗产的统计数据对SDG11.4.1指标进行测度和分析,基于Landsat遥感数据对4处自然遗产人为干预度进行变化监测分析。结果表明：1)单位面积支出可作为测度自然保护地(世界自然遗产、混合遗产、地质公园和生物圈保护区)可持续发展状态的指标,但不适用于文化遗产的测度。2)从资金投入角度看：自然保护地年均投入400万元/km²可作为优质发展目标阈值,年均投入80万~400万元/km²可作为发展状态良好的阈值。3)人为干预度作为扩展指标可以反映自然遗产地的可持续保护状态和趋势,可进一步在中国及其他国家类似保护地进行推广应用。  相似文献

Collaborative filtering systems are prediction algorithms over sparse data sets of user preferences. We modify a wide range of state-of-the-art collaborative filtering systems to make them scale and translation invariant and generally improve their accuracy without increasing their computational cost. Using the EachMovie and the Jester data sets, we show that learning-free constant time scale and translation invariant schemes outperforms other learning-free constant time schemes by at least 3% and perform as well as expensive memory-based schemes (within 4%). Over the Jester data set, we show that a scale and translation invariant Eigentaste algorithm outperforms Eigentaste 2.0 by 20%. These results suggest that scale and translation invariance is a desirable property.  相似文献

Public libraries across the country design and deliver programs for military veterans and their families, often collaborating with other organizations and agencies. The examples were assembled from both general and specialized interviews with librarians, and literature and Internet searches, with summaries of programs assembled and written by multiple researchers. The specific limitations on the listing in this article are clearly outlined in the first section. Overall, however, the article provides a good introductory overview of what’s going on in veteran’s programs and services in America’s public libraries in over seventy libraries in forty states.
