多媒体网络英语教学:特征、理论与实验研究

摘    要:21世纪多媒体网络英语教学以其生动活泼的表现形式与丰富多彩的表现功能给传统英语教学方式带来了巨大的冲击和全新的变革。本文剖析了多媒体网络英语教学诸多不同于传统英语教学的新特征:教学资源的丰富性、集成性、共享性、时效性与新颖性;主客体之间的交互性与自适应性;情景的可虚拟再现性以及多媒体信息的立体多重刺激性。探讨了构成多媒体网络英语教学基石的三种典型理论行为主义、认知主义和建构主义的核心内涵。本研究报告了一个代表性的典型实验测试例,即运用多媒体网络教学手段与运用传统英语教学手段的单词记忆效果对比统计。实验测试表明:多媒体网络教学具备传统教学难以具有的优势,大幅提高了教学效果。

Abstract:The English teaching with multimedia network in 21 century brings traditional English teaching with tremendous impacts and fire-new changes by means of lively expressive forms and multiple functions. This article analyzes the new characteristics of English teaching with multimedia network distinguished from those with traditional English teaching means, which include the abundance, integration, sharing, time-efficiency and novelty of educational resources; interaction between subject and object and its self-adaptability; reality's virtual recurring and media information's multidimensional stimulation. It also explores the kernel intension of three typical theories, which form the foundation of multimedia network English teaching, including: behaviorism theory, cognitivism theory and constructivism theory. Moreover, this article reports a typical test example, that is, a statistical comparison of teaching with multimedia network and teaching with traditional means.
