| 摘 要： | ESP（专门用途英语）是指与某种特定职业、学科或目的相关的英语。本文以ESP教学理论为基础，探讨了基于ESP理论的酒店专业英语教学方法及其效果。研究采用接受传统PPP教学的控制组与实行ESP教学实验组进行对比的方式。实验数据表明，实验组笔试和口试测试成绩均优于控制组，说明ESP教学方法比传统的PPP教学方法更能提高学生的成绩，尤其是口语水平。因此，在专业英语教学中引入ESP教学理念不仅有助于提高学生的英语水平，而且能有效提高学生酒店服务的实操能力。

| Abstract: | ESP refers to the English which is related to some profession,subjects or purposes.The essay explores into the teaching methods and effect of Hotel English based on ESP.A comparative study was carried on between the controlled class with traditional teaching method PPP and the experimental class with ESP.It was revealed that the experimental class outperformed the controlled class with regard to scores of both written and oral examination.It was shown that ESP could improve students’ achievements especially on the oral English better than the traditional method PPP.It can be concluded that ESP contributes to facilitating Hotel English teaching,and it is also effective in improving students’ practice ability in hotel service. |
