| 摘 要： | 《金瓶梅》是一部颇具争议的古典奇书。尽管由于书中有大量情色内容而名声不佳,但其文学价值及在海内外的影响却不可低估。该书在大陆一直未能公开出版,英译本国内更是难得一见,英汉对比研究也就无从谈起。本文以《金瓶梅》英文转译本为蓝本,从章回的取舍、熟语、传统文化术语、诗歌以及情色内容描写等方面对译者的翻译理念和策略作一探究,并指出,译者能统领全书的主题思想、翻译策略在很大程度上也与当代翻译理论不谋而合。
