| 摘 要： | 通过袁同礼与北京大学图书馆关系的分析,探讨袁同礼先生在北京大学图书馆历史上的地位和作用。该文认为袁同礼先生与北京大学图书馆渊源深厚,曾四度结缘于北京大学图书馆。袁同礼先生不仅是中国图书馆现代化转型中的重要人物,也是北京大学图书馆现代化转型中的重要人物。他和北京大学图书馆一起,经历了现代化道路上的内忧外患,为北京大学馆顺利度过现代化过程中的曲折阶段而作出了极其重要的贡献。在北京大学图书馆现代化的过程中,袁先生的潜移默化的影响通过后来的严文郁等馆长不断得到体现。
