| Abstract: | The paper presents an overview of code switching in terms of its definition,classification and functions on the part of both teachers and students.The appropriate use of code switching between the target language English and the native language Chinese in classroom teaching will help facilitate private college students' English proficiency,improve their learning efficiency as well as achieve better classroom teaching effect. |
