| Abstract: | Physiological needs,personal character,political environment, and the imperial family's tradition of worshiping Taoism were the causes for Emperor Shizong's worshiping Taoism.His superstition in alchemy,conferring Taoist titles, worshiping Taoism and restraining Buddhism were the main expressions, which had great influences on the politics, economy, society and culture of Ming dynasty. |
