| 摘 要： | 美国二十世纪早期著名现实主义讽刺作家辛克莱·刘易斯的《巴比特》通过对主人公中产阶级商人巴比特这个典型形象的成功塑造，敏锐地揭示了物质至上的美国二十世纪二十年代物质至上的商业社会对人性的剥夺。这一经典的人物形象在今天广泛的商业化社会中仍具有强烈的现实意义。
