| 摘 要： | 歧义是每一种语言中都普遍存在的现象。在现实生活中,歧义有时会产生一些消极的影响,但同时也产生大量的幽默,有时说话者故意为之,以达到某种语言效果。引起歧义的原因很多,如语音、词汇、语法歧义都可引起幽默,只有深入理解语言歧义,才能提高学习者对英语幽默的理解力和欣赏力。

| Abstract: | Ambiguity lies in every kind of languages. Sometimes it plays a passive role in our daily life, but it brings us much humor as well. Sometimes the speaker intentionally makes ambiguity in order to achieve his goal. Many factors can cause humor. This article analyzes English humor from phonological, lexical and syntactic aspects, thus enhancing our understanding and appreciation of English humor. |
